Lovely grounds to explore, beautiful blooms, wooded walks and a walled garden. Gave the tour of the castle itself a miss, not my thing, exploring someone's home and looking at their furniture and paintings! Maria's, the TAPAS bar was outstanding......what an unexpected treat....superb! More

Went on the may bank holiday Sunday. The grounds are stunning with the plants all starting to bloom. Walled garden was peaceful to walk around and beautiful. Rounded off our visit with a delicious lunch in the restaurant, great Spanish inspired food. Well done Picton. More

The gardens are quite nice to walk around, though not spectacular. There is a cafe, gift shop and a craft and art gallery. The house itself is modest and visitors are taken round on guided tours. Our guide was very, very thorough, to the point of boring - there are only a few rooms to see and only so much... More
