this place is a mine of information , interesting exhibits and interactive stuff on everything to do with prehistoric evolution , geology and fossils it is hard to be believe such a cool exhibit is packed into such a small place. Very much in the vain of those more traditional natural history museums and the added bonus is the upper... More

Okay, starting with a disclaimer here: if you're looking for the Natural History Museum, then it's in London. The Smithsonian is in Washington DC. If you're expecting that grade of exhibit then I'll politely suggest that you visit either. I've been to both and they're also excellent but in a very different way to Stone Science. Anyway, on to the... More

Not sure how other reviewers came to there conclusion, visited today and was totally dissapointed, totally amateur museum, untidy, confusing, and far too many exhibits that do not explaine or educate. Do not be misled by the other reviews or the leaflet. You will be left dissapointed and short changed!!!!!!

We found this place on Trip Advisor and pencilled it in for a visit. We are so glad we did as it is fantastic. There is so much to see and stacks of information but set out in a really fun way. Whilst some may feel this place is a bit dated we loved the fact it was so eclectic... More

This is such a mixed bag of a place, such a lot of fascinating treasures to discover but not in an organised manner. There is so much to see and the children were entranced by everything on show. However, it is such a shame that the exhibition is not better laid out. But still worth a visit.

Stone Science is an excellent place if you are interested in Fossils, Crystals or Geology, I would really recommend the place, the owner has a great knowledge about Geology & Fossils, even though i liver near chester i will always visit the museum for geology.

I would like to give it 3 1/2 stars because average undersells it but very good oversells it… An intriguing little place that has the unmistakable feel of being somebody's hobby/passion that was ordered out of the family home by a spouse! "Either you find somewhere else for your collection or I'm off"...! At £17 for a family it's not... More

It's hard to imagine that this place is such a geological/paleontological treasurehouse from the road. Interesting, fascinating and particularly reasonable entry fees.

Been umpteen times and my boys aged 8 and10 still love coming here you pay once and keep your ticket then come back as many times as you want in 2week fascinating place but you have to look and read the information that is there, to actually realise what is still undiscovered and what walked the earth millions of years...
