For all you people who enjoyed this place I am happy for you but for me I could not even find it my sat nav got me on the right road but I saw no sign posts at all and ended up having a day in Conwy and I won't be going back any time soon it's a shame like... More

I am writing as an amateur geology interest group facilitator, but my comments would hold true for a family outing. Nine of us, with geological knowledge ranging from nil to degree level, visited Stone Science as part of our U3A learning experience. What an experience!! David and Delyth Wilson treated us royally and amazed us with their treasury of exhibits... More

Dave is not your typical museum owner. His passion for geology is as infectious as his knowledge of fossils and the formation of rock and stone is substantial. He imparts his years of experience with enthusiasm, captivating the imagination of youngsters (and oldies!) in a way that even the best of teachers could only admire. And against this backdrop, despite... More

I have scanned through the reviews and it is interesting that all but two are really impressed with Stone Science. I think the two negatives are unjustified. I am a secondary school A Level Geology teacher, so I would hope that this is the one attraction I have some relevant experience to judge! We did have to take care finding... More

My granddaughter (5) was fascinated by this place. The beautiful mineral and fossil specimens were a source of great delight, but she learned a lot as well. For example, seeing and touching specimens or replicas of dinosaurs and their bones made her realise for the first time that these were not scarry pretend creatures but had actually once lived. And... More

I read some of the reviews on this site, and was presently suprised at the eclectic nature of this place, my six year old son has just started up an interest in fossils so this was the perfect place for him. My five year old daughter also enjoyed herself. The owner is a lovely chap who clearly has a lifelong... More

i am an archaeologist, and have been in love with all things old and dusty since i could walk! this place is an aladdins cave! yes it is eccentric in terms of layout and content, but the passion and time spent on this collection by the owners is apparent. if you love rooting through old antiquarian collections then you'll love... Having read the recent reviews about Stone Science I thought I should put forward my views. Whilst I think it can be agreed that there has been a lot of hard work put into the collection at Stone Science I wouldn’t actually describe it as a ‘top attraction, awesome, great experience or a little boys dream’. It is rather more... More

We visited this attraction with our two young children and were very impressed with the welcome and the labour of love that this experience clearly is. The kids loved finding out about evolution, dinosaurs and looking at the wide range of fossils. The staff here couldn't be more helpful, so I can only assume the previous reviewer didn't have an...
