To visit this place, but inside you will find some TV sets with cameras pointing onto the cliffs plus some Svarovsky and (I guess) Nicon lunettes which you can use. Overall it will take around 5-10 minutes to visit it if you only pass it by

An excellent place to see a wide variety of birds. We saw Puffins, Fulmers, a roosting Peregrine Falcon and a variety of gulls. Very enthusiastic RSPB staff and members of the public. Well worth a visit, especially with the RSPB cafe next to it serving good food and coffee.

The staff were very informative about which birds were on the cliff and how long they had been there and let us use their binoculars and telescopes to view them.

This place has a free car park which is 500yards from the tower, you can walk on the path or go around the rocky coastline to see all the cliffs etc. In the tower there is a camera that has a view of the nesting birds in the cliffs. You can buy tourist things and there is a member of... More

This is situated below south stack and offers great views of the cliffs, sea, wildlife and the lighthouse. A good viewing point, especially if you can not walk to south stack itself.

My wife and I have just enjoyed the south stack lighthouse and tower. So after getting our breath back ( this trip is not for the faint hearted) but if you take a deal breath and go for it you will have witnessed one of the worlds best views and all for free you pay to go inside the lighthouse... Whilst visiting the South Stack Lighthouse l didn't know about Ellins Tower so wonderd down , its quite a walk with some very steep steps from the cafe carpark but if you can manage it you will be well rewarded by the views and the very helpfull RSPB staff on hand with tips and advice.

Located on the outskirts of Holyhead this renovated tower provides a haven for nature lovers to watch the varied species of birds on the South stack cliffs, it is close to South Stack lighthouse, the ancient hut circles and Mynydd Twr, well worth a visit

Should the lighthouse be out of your reach - whether on account of the effort required or the time allotted - this be a pleasing substitute. There be little to it, but, not complaining. Inside the walls are painted with depictions of the local wildlife. Up the stairs there be more such plus a small model of the cliffs and... More
