I didn't know it was free to park by the church so paid my toll (driving in a motorhome I was magnanimously told I could pay the £2.50 and not the coach fee of £5 - there was only me and the dog!!!) then told the vehicle was too large to go on the toll road. I have driven as... More

In addition to visiting Penmon Priory the above is a very interesting building. Entering through the small doorway to view inside is a must. The visit was made as part of a round walk from Llangoed which has a ruined castle and !FREE! parking nearby. Black Point is FREE on foot and not far to walk from the Priory to... More

To access penmon point you need to either park up near the priory and walk or pay the £2.50 toll. We paid the toll and this includes parking when you get down there. Fantastic views of puffin island, snowdonia, Llandudno and of course the lighthouse. We were also treated to a pod of porpoises while we were there. We had... More

We visited on a very wet and windy day - but I'm so glad that we did. The visit to the priory, dovecote and church should not be missed. A really atmospheric place that is just steeped in history. Easy access to the beach at the Point, though not for bathing. Views of Puffin Island are superb, and on a... More

Went to visit Penmon Point - It is beautiful and quite marvellous, lighthouse and Ynys Seriol looked beautiful. Pebbly storm beach backed by limestone cliff and arch. The cafe however is awful. Very poor quality overpriced coffee coupled with the surliest service I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. I will certainly visit Penmon again but will not go... More

All along the road to Penmon point there are laybys where until recently you could stay overnight for a night or two. I used to come each year for maybe one or two nights .we shopped in Beaumaurice and enjoyed the walks and views. When we left you would not have known we had been there. Now the council has... More

We go to Penmon Point regularly and love the peace and quiet and the stunning, ever-changing views. The lighthouse with its bell ringing every 30 seconds and the views of Puffin Island, the Great Orme, and Snowdonia are wonderful. There is an extremely friendly chap who takes the toll payment for each car and will give you advice and guidance... More

Beautiful area; went to see where my wife used to go as a child. A 'thug' in steel toe-capped boots approached out car and just said "£2.50". We said 'no' because it was free when my wife was a child and he just started being abusive, so we left. This man is one of the most disturbing people I've had... More

This place really is absolutely beautiful. We visited on a warm sunny morning and the road leading in is so pretty. First stop is the priory and there is a real air of tranquility here. If you wish to go out to the point and lighthouse this is where you pay the toll. We had no problem with paying this... More

Its a beautiful place - lovely coastal views across the Menai Straits toward Conwy and Llandudno. The Lighthouse is good too and there are boat trips out to Puffin Island behind the lighthouse from Beaumaris. There is a little café by the car parking area. There is a good walk down to the Point if you prefer to park further... More
