After a walk along the quay this seemed like a good idea and it became a quest for my girlfriend who doesn't like heights or walking too much. Stunning views of the River Conwy, the Quayside and Conwy Castle. Wear some decent shoes and take your time ! The walls are not part of the Castle as such, hence they're... More

The views from the town walls of Conwy and the hills beyond are just fabulous. Totally life-affirming! Don't climb up the tower if you suffer vertigo, though...

My brother Tim King, tourism officer for Shropshire, recommended a walk around the Conwy Town walls today and it did not disappoint. There are 6 entrances from the town, we walked the whole wall, up and down the ramparts, it was fabulous. At every turn there were vistas of sea, harbour, mountains, railways arches, pretty streets, lovely gardens, towering castle,... More

Worth doing to get an overall view of the city for a different tourist activity. The city should try and link all the walls up to be one walk for a continuous hike like the old walls in Chester.

Liked the views to Conway Mountain and the Castle and the opportunity to walk these old walls as an alternative to walking down the road to the town.

After entering town over the bridge, turn left after the Castle and drive round to the large car park behind town, from here you can access the walls near the railway station. We only walked a part section of the walls as we were tight on time, however the views were well worth our walk and on another occasion we... More

Getting up on the town walls of Conwy it the best way to see the town and takes you back in time. There are many access points to the walls, with the best being just behind the train station; as it allows you to walk the biggest uninterrupted section from the train station to the harbours water front. Oh and... More

This is a great way to spend a lazy hour or so. Break it up with a couple of pub stops and make it an afternoon. A great way to view Conwy - oozing in history.
