Enjoyed the visit it was very informative. We turned up on bikes and because it was raining the gentleman in charge let us put our bikes in the boileroom room. We really enjoyed an afternoon out here. We appeared to be the only ones there so enjoyed it at our own pace, very informative with a great collection of pictures and news cuttings on display. Free admission to this former coal mine. Gives a wonderful idea of the scale of a colliery. The interpretation panels which indicate how the mine worked are very clear and are amongst the best I have ever seen at this type of attraction.
