Lovely view point on top of the hill which is well laid out for all weathers. Nice beach and a lovely cup of tea in the Caffi. Worth a visit if in the area. Great bike route along the coast too.

Just returned from joining our daughter and her family, including grandsons of 6 and 8, for the second year. If you want amusement arcades this is not for you, but if you want a quiet place, beautiful beaches, rock pools, mountain views, then this could be it. Part of the charm to us is that it does look a bit... More

Having visited several times over the years (most recently in May 2014) I have always found this coastal spot to be both beautiful & tranquil. The coastal path now forms part of the larger Wales Coast Path. From the top of the path adjacent to Caenarfon Airport it's possible to walk into Caernarfon in less than three hours at a... More

Finding a camping park for a large motorhome within easy walking to a beach is difficult, but Thornley Leisure's Dinlle Caravan park was absolutely ideal. The beach goes on for miles, and although when the tide is in, walking isn't easy on the stones and shingle, as the water recedes it reveals golden sands. Access is good with ample parking... More

Went for a lazy Sunday, were able to walk from one end of the beach to the other on a lovely sunny day along the warm sands. Theres an air museum and airport to see at the further end and a small helped the aged cafe too which is cheap and cheerful. There is an ice cream van at that... More

Looking at the weather made us change our plan. Glad we did. The weather was superb, the tide out, the beach clean, teenage daughter made a friend, son built sandcastles and paddled, wife chatted to daughters friends mum, RAF put on impromptu airshow, I had two dozes! tide came in and we went home a bit sunburnt but happy. Could... More

Just had fish & chip for 3 and a children's fishcake and chips - £32!!! And it was the worst fish & chips we've ever had. Full of grease, hardly any fish within the batter, no potatoes in the so called chips - basically the meal was greasy batter! Feel totally ripped off!

Lovely little beach away from the crowds. Well worth driving to the end of the road and parking as its even quieter and the dog can run free. Sandy beach when the tide is out otherwise a pebble ridge. Close to Caernarfon Airport and the pleasure flights by plane and helicopter. In Dinas Dinlle itself are toilets, shop fish and... More

We spotted this beach on the map, aimed for low tide, and checked it out. Dogs aren't allowed by the shops, but are fine further along. Plenty of places to park. Lots of sand exposed at low tideand so much space we spent a lovely afternoon swimming, sandcastle building and BBQ. Shame that some people ignore the no overnight parking/camping... More

Great beach with a couple of good cafes and shops. Fantastic views. Once you get over the initial storm defences the beach is beautiful, limitless sand perfect for beach cricket etc. Dont tell too many people though. Will try to post some pics later
