Gypsy Wood is an enchanting outdoor attraction for the whole family and is situated in the foothills of Snowdonia, North Wales. Set in 20 acres of natural beauty, discover one of Wales's best kept outdoor secrets. Experience one of the UK's largest miniature G Scale garden railways. Befriend the animals - we have miniature Shetland ponies, donkeys, pygmy goats and Vietnamese pot bellied pigs to name but a few. Ride woody the train a 10 half inch gauge for nearly half a mile through the park.

Excellent venue for younger children, somewhere you can spend a full afternoon. We visited last year and the site has developed since then. The kids had a fabulous time

We visited this park with our 3 year old daughter last week and it was a magical day out and one of the best places we visited during our 1 week stay in North Wales. She absolutely loved it and we spent about 3-4 hours there. Perfect for toddlers and children under 8. Staff friendly and very helpful, particularly the... More

We visited Gypsy Wood on our last day in Wales. We have been to a couple of places like this before which were great (Forbidden corner in Yorkshire) and compared to there and Greenwood Forest which is up the road everything looked quite small and homemade rather than a 'wow' type attraction. It cost £22 for the family ticket which... More

Many thanks for your review!! We are really disappointed that you felt Gypsy Wood was overpriced. We consider £21.99 for a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) to be a fair price for what Gypsy Wood has to offer! We are very much a different type of attraction to the Heritage Railway and Greenwood Forest Park. More

We visited on a bit of a whim with our 4 year old son and had an excellent time. He was instantly spoilt for choice over what to do, and spent the next 3 or 4 hours running around, playing with the various attractions and demanding a second go on the train ride. I'll second that it's very much a... More

We spent a brilliant 4 hours here today and could easily have stayed longer. Really friendly staff, loads for my 3 year old to do and things for us to do too. Model railway, fishing, musical tree house, animal encounters entertained my son especially whilst me and my husband liked the go karts, grandad liked the zip wire and nanny... More

We decided to visit Gypsy Wood Park on out way home from our holiday in Porthmadog. At first we were unsure as the leaflet in the caravan park did not provide much detail about the park however I am so glad we took the risk and went. It is a fabulous place with something for everyone. We arrived at 12pm... More
