First visit to UCNW Bangor University in nearly 30 years. Lots has changed ...the Emrys Evans site has been rebuilt, and Barlows at St Mary's has been levelled with new buildings constructed. Top College, the original centre of study at the university and dating back to c1910, remains unchanged, which is great. It felt like meeting an old friend. And... More

The picture shown is the main arts building which houses some beautiful walled paintings which was nice and relaxing when I was doing exams there. The music department is based there and they do some great concerts there. A trip to Bangor would not seem right without seeing the mains arts building there on top of the hill. From there... More

A unique time to visit Bangor and be able to see a bit of the inside of the University with your student child as long as they have their own entrance cards! Please do not try to wander in to the University unless you have proper access. You will not get in!

Fantastic university with phenomenal views. Often likened to Hogwarts. You can find Teras restaurant and Teras café in the basement, worth a visit!

It is an old classic building with a beautiful view in Bangor town from it's nice balcony. It has a very famous school of psychology.

We visited the university to view the illustrious Arthurian literature collection. The staff couldn't be more helpful, friendly and warm - a perfect example of the hospitality we found throughout Wales. Do visit the restaurant hidden way down in the basement of the beautiful old university building....fabulous cuisine worthy of any top city eatery! Top marks to Bangor University for... More

This was my first visit here as couldn't manage to get to the open day with my daughter and hubby. We arrived to a very friendly and welcoming bunch of people who couldn't be more accommodating. I'm sure my daughter is going to feel really at home here. The building is lovely lots of character and very much like Hogworts!... More

What an ugly building! Live nearby and never fail to dislike the place every time I go by. Bangor seems to have lost the plot (IMHO). One year late opening and the money could have been used for something worthwhile and something which suits this poor, benighted, city. It is only complemented by the Asda store opposite.

Great unioversity, had a few friends who went there. The area is very nice and the university remionds me of Hogwarts. The people are freindly and there are many shops around.
