I went to the open day last year when looking for prospective universities. I was interested in the media course. When we turned up the building was amazing somewhat like harry potter! The halls of residence was ok but the course was awful. We turned up to talk to the media lecturers and 'professional' teachers and course leaders. Non of... More

Great Uni, my son is there at the moment and loves it! It is the perfect location and would inspire anyone to learn and enjoy it while they do. Great for when visiting too such a beautiful place.

Open day was very informative and very well organised. It is advisable to get a taxi to the University as parking is difficult.

Lovely architecture at the main building on college road, however the neighbouring building is totally out of character. It looks like something out of a 70s sci-fi movie and spoils the grandeur of the big building.

The University is very old & beautiful. We sat through the opening speech then followed the student to the appropriate room for another talk. Then at the end the lecturer asked what everyone wanted to study. She spoke to us at the end to say we were in the wrong place & should have been in Wrexham. Now if she... More

This place has everything you'll need! The law library (as a law student) is outstanding! Mairwen the library assistant is exceptional. The hole university both in and out looks and feels like Hogwarts. The staff are very helpful too regardless of your query. I fully recommend studying here as the locals are friendly and the students and lecturers the same,... More

I recently stayed in Bangor University Halls of residence for 2 weeks while I was working at Bangor Driving Test Centre. I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the rooms I was given while stating there on two separate occasions. Rooms were spotlessly clean with en-suite. A comfortable single bed. Plenty of storage space for clothes and personal items.... More

Like so many of us, we need to prepare ourselves for our children's lives away from home. We put Bangor Uni on our list of 4 to visit because of the excellent reputation of the Psychology dept. On the day we met Professors, students, helpers, lecturers. Nothing was too much and the Uni itself was truly superb. Great facilities, terrific... More
