Hogwarts near Snowdonia

Fantastic university with phenomenal views. Often likened to Hogwarts. You can find Teras restaurant and Teras café in the basement, worth a visit!

It is an old classic building with a beautiful view in Bangor town from it's nice balcony. It has a very famous school of psychology.

We visited the university to view the illustrious Arthurian literature collection. The staff couldn't be more helpful, friendly and warm - a perfect example of the hospitality we found throughout Wales. Do visit the restaurant hidden way down in the basement of the beautiful old university building....fabulous cuisine worthy of any top city eatery! Top marks to Bangor University for... More

This was my first visit here as couldn't manage to get to the open day with my daughter and hubby. We arrived to a very friendly and welcoming bunch of people who couldn't be more accommodating. I'm sure my daughter is going to feel really at home here. The building is lovely lots of character and very much like Hogworts!... More

What an ugly building! Live nearby and never fail to dislike the place every time I go by. Bangor seems to have lost the plot (IMHO). One year late opening and the money could have been used for something worthwhile and something which suits this poor, benighted, city. It is only complemented by the Asda store opposite.

Bangor University is just great! Helpful lecturers, great people and atmosphere and beautiful surroundings (I had a view on the sea and mountains at same time!) I really appreciate the fact that the sport clubs were free of charge for students and that it was easily to feel the real student atmosphere there! I studied MBA Environmental Management and I... A beautiful setting steeped with history, gorgeous architecture and staff who are happy to talk. The central gardens reminded me of a film set and don't miss the restaurant, The terrace, quite special..

I went to the open day last year when looking for prospective universities. I was interested in the media course. When we turned up the building was amazing somewhat like harry potter! The halls of residence was ok but the course was awful. We turned up to talk to the media lecturers and 'professional' teachers and course leaders. Non of... More
