I recently stayed in Bangor University Halls of residence for 2 weeks while I was working at Bangor Driving Test Centre. I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the rooms I was given while stating there on two separate occasions. Rooms were spotlessly clean with en-suite. A comfortable single bed. Plenty of storage space for clothes and personal items.... More

Like so many of us, we need to prepare ourselves for our children's lives away from home. We put Bangor Uni on our list of 4 to visit because of the excellent reputation of the Psychology dept. On the day we met Professors, students, helpers, lecturers. Nothing was too much and the Uni itself was truly superb. Great facilities, terrific... More

I studied music at Bangor University and I thoroughly enjoy going back year after year to have a walk around. The people in Bangor are always really friendly and the views from the university balcony are stunning!

Don't put this place on your must visit list, but if you're studying here I'm sure you'll be happy. If you're visiting family studying here, I'd suggest staying at Plas Trevor B&B as it's just a short walk and very nice.

I studied at Bangor University, but always enjoy looking around the place. The mix of scenery, pubs, University students and locals give Bangor a buzz that I've not seen with any other town/city. I'd advise any student to learn here.

Bangor University has a proud history as an educational facilty and is steeped in tradition. Although we had visited the university previously, this time was to attend our daughter's graduation. The ceremony itself was very moving, the guest speakers were excellent and the whole thing ran like clockwork. The buildings themselves added a great deal of atmosphere to the event... More
