Description: Step into what remains of a secret wartime air base, now our Visitor...
Step into what remains of a secret wartime air base, now our Visitor Centre, where thousands of people lived and worked in the 1940s. Walk through a masterpiece in landscape design, which is 'Capability' Brown's very first, which has been painstakingly restored for over 18 years from what was once a lost and overgrown 18th century parkland. Explore the park and lakeside to find out what conservation project we're working on this year. Find Croome Court, the home of the Earls of Coventry, at the heart of the park which has been patiently waiting for its revival. Its time has come this year as the faded house is repaired and reserviced to be able to open up all four floors in 2016. This year explore two floors of un-restored spaces, see what the builders are working on and climb the scaffold for a cup of tea on Sky Cafe.

Thought it would be a quick visit but found so much to fill a day. The RAF Defford Exhibition is a must, so much history. The Church of St. Mary Magdalene well worth a visit. Great grounds with a lot to see as you walk, or take the Shuttle, to Croome Court. At the Court the roof Cafe and viewing... More

Finding Croome might be tricky but recently the signage has improved greatly. After passing through the reception area there a a number of things for you to do. The walks around the estate are on good paths with lovely views to the Malverns. The grounds were originally laid out by Capability Brown, with much thought given to the way the... More

Despite living less than 40 minutes away, we had never been to Croome in our 16 years living in the area. What a mistake we made-we'd still be going now as it is beautiful. The landscape is plainly exciting, thanks to Capability Brown, the house, which is under going some cosmetic enhancements is a joy to wander round & you... More

Great afternoon out. House and gardens are very impressive but it's the RAF museum that we really went for.

We arrived at Croome mid afternoon, so knowing we hadn't much time decided to go straight to house, very nice at reception, explained where things were and best way to get to house, the house is a fair way from the centre, be prepared for a walk, downhill on way a bit more of a trek going back. The house... More

I love going to Croome, it is such a magnificent tranquil place. There is little/no collection contained with in the house but the building its self is sublime. The landscape is Capability Brown at his finest a true English oasis to loose your self in for a few hours! Take a picnic!

The weather was lovely which helps but there was so much to see that was indoor and out. The tours were very interesting and the guides were very helpful. we went up to the Sky Cafe which had marvellous views. Would like to go back again in time to see how it had changed.

There is a lot of interest in this site, the grounds are lovely with an old church, ice house and rotunda, as well as the house itself. At the moment it is not at its best because it is undergoing huge restoration. This gives you an idea of what the Trust does. The war time museum is an added attraction,... More

The house really shows you how much renovation the National Trust does. Definitely worth a visit. Incredible grounds. View from the scaffolding is fantastic. Tea at the Sky Cafe a must.
