This needs more than the 90 minutes we had available as there is so much to read and look at. There is a good audio guide for a quick introduction but to read the notes to go with each numbered item on display takes some time. Interesting progression in the displays from Worcester porcelain origins up to the present day.... More

I have visited on a number of occasions. The museum is a short walk from the town centre but is worth the visit. The building itself is very attractive and there are often one off exhibitions. The highlight though is definitely the permanent display of the Worcestershire Regiment. If you are into military history you must take the time to... More

Spent an hour looking round this well organised museum. Good value, well laid out in a nice building. Easy to find in central Worcester.

An interesting way to while away an hour or so whilst enjoying the beauty of the exhibits and the skills of the craftsmen that created them.

Excellent value for money, a great opportunity to see the best porcelain ever made from 1752 onwards, a couple of hours on a wet morning was fascinating. The early pieces are sublime and some are one off and the only place that you would ever have the chance to see them. Wonderful that the museum did and cannot go the... More

The Museum now sits in glorious isolation near the cathedral close and river; the surrounding factory site being, typically for 21st Century industrial England, in the process of residential redevelopment. The two-storey modern museum takes the visitor chronologically through the history and development of Royal Worcester illustrating each period with the most sumptious examples of the maker's art...many breathtaking in... The display included the porcelain objects made from 1751 to 2009. They were unbelievably beautiful; clocks, tea sets, vases, artefacts of excellent craftsmanship! It was a visual treat for us to tour the three floors of wonderful display. For the more interested, there was the audio tour and a film showing how the clay was transformed to beautifully finished porcelain,... More

Sadly the chinaware is no longer made at these extensive premises, and the name itself has been bought by Portmerion, but the Museum is worth a visit, as is the shop, from wonderful complete dinner services to fabulous tea sets. Of particular interest to us were the small but incredibly beautiful jugs and tea cups with pure gold decorations, ideal... More
