Description: Three miles east of Worcester surrounded by glorious countryside and deer...
Three miles east of Worcester surrounded by glorious countryside and deer park lays one of Britain’s best-kept secrets. Spetchley is a garden for all tastes containing one of the biggest private collections of plant varieties outside the major botanical gardens. Spetchley is not a formal paradise of neatly manicured lawns or beds but rather a wondrous display of plants, shrubs and trees woven into a garden of many rooms and vistas. It is certainly an ever changing garden and one undergoing many changes. The Revival Project is in its infancy; a ten year project aimed at reviving Spetchley's wonderful legacy. Please follow us to see how we get on and come and visit to view this wonderful garden and watch its transformation.

Visited midweek and found it quieter than expected. The reception area was modern and well stocked with souvenirs. Lots to see in the garden and many different areas to explore. The lake was pretty with lots of lilies. The roses were especially attractive, and all were named which is ideal for gardeners. A very pleasant place to visit and the... More

I am a little late in posting this review. My wife and I visited Spetchley Gardens on 6th April 2015. The whole experience was amazing. Spring flowers, shrubs etc everywhere. Daffodils, Snow Drops, Magnolias, Forsythia, Hellebor's, Camellias etc. All were 'named' making it so much easier to identify. There are walled gardens, statues and places where one can picnic and... A nicely designed gravel car park with country views gives a good first impression, confirmed by an attractive modern reception room and shop. But the gardens are less than pristine. I am not against designated wild areas amongst well kept gardens but some areas were unkempt and overgrown. We even had to dodge bushes overhanging paths. I like to see... More

I went to Spetchley Park Gardens with my family and my brother's girlfriend last weekend and the gardens were really beautiful! Very nicely kept and filled with gorgeous flowers! The café was also lovely.

We spent the day at the gardens and were impressed with them. There are weeds and many of the plants are self sown, but it's in keeping with the cottage garden atmosphere and the colours and scents are a delight. The peonies were splendid and there are lots of interesting plants to spot if you take the time to really... More

Thank you all for your excellent reviews. It really does make such a difference to hear from people who have enjoyed the garden. As we tell everyone it is a plantsman's garden and not finely manicured and that is part of its USP. We have started on a great journey of revival and it is a five year project. Our... More

Spetchley park gardens was drawn to our attention whilst visiting Berkeley castle, as they are both owned by the same family. Although the garden wasn't on our itinerary, we decided to pay a visit. We weren't disappointed. The new reception looked good and the staff were friendly and helpful .its a wonderful plantsmans garden , crammed with loads of interesting... More

I cannot understand how this is not more highly rated!! This is one of the finest gardens I have visited - full of interest and colour. The garden is a series of rooms, all of them full of colour and beautiful flowers. We visited when the irises were in full bloom and the peonies were starting to come into bloom.... More

Spetchley is being upgraded with a new car park and walk way into the gardens. May is a good time to visit with the irises in full swing and the herbaceous borders firing up. There is a huge investment in herbaceous and tree peonies that are in full bloom. There are still magnolias in bloom and late tulips too. We... More

Secret garden atmosphere, if you love plants this is a must-see. Good level paths, lots of benches. We visited on 21st May and saw a fantastic collection of irises and peonies. Lots more to come, definitely recommend a visit. Friendly welcome at reception, look out for the lovely cards which are the work of one of the ladies in the... More

Thank you so much for your review. We are thrilled you enjoyed your time at Spetchley. It is a wonderful place to be and has, as you say, so much more to come over the next few years as we forge ahead with our revival project. The peonies are looking wonderful as are the Iris. Spring is such a beautiful... More
