So much fun for both adults and children, shops for the big kids and the railway and ice cream for the little kids! They cater for birthday parties too so great fun! Lovely dog walks also.

Overall the shops were okay. The garden centre is quite expensive, but I bought some lovely pots. The best part of the whole place is the lovely silver shop, which has some very unusual and beautiful jewellery at reasonable prices. We had lunch in the Applebarn restaurant which was a big mistake. I had the worst jacket potato I have ever... More

The best bit of this country park is the cream teas at the carrot cake cafe! Go here instead of the applebarn restaurant (very average in comparison).

In never ending rain only got to see the retail outlets, I believe there is a miniature railway and walks. Usual outlet mix of clothes, shoes, farm shop and garden centre. Did not need anything but bought shoes, clothes and other sundry items. Plenty of parking and on a dry day you could walk from the Premier Inn.

This garden centre is one of the very best. There is a comprehensive range of all things relevant to the garden with lots more as well. Plants are of the best quality and a comprehensive range of sundries. The one draw back being that products seem be at the top of their recommended price range. However it is a good... More

Nice day out with the children. "Farm shop" was good (although pricey) and kids loved the train. Canteen meal was fine (why do places where you have to slide a tray along, pick up food and basically serve yourself think they are remotely similar to a "restaurant"?).

Good place to shop, with a variety of outlets and nice restaurant. More shops on the way. A mini train for the kiddies, fishing opportunities, fun day outs, loads of car parking space and a very well stocked garden centre. Worth a visit.

We stopped off here for breakfast on our way for a weekend away. We had the big breakfast, food was good, filter coffee not so good. Customer service not the best I've seen. The cakes looked really good although we didn't try them, but were quite expensive. Not sure if we would return.

Thank you so much for posting your comments - we are really pleased that you enjoyed your breakfast, but are concerned about your disappointment with the coffee and customer service. I have passed on to you the contact details of the General Manage of the Applebarn who will be able to look into this further. We appreciate your feedback and... More
