The location is second to none, sitting outside on a sunny evening with the river Thames in the back drop is so beautiful.

The island is beautiful for all ages, especially in nice weather. There is a stream perfect for pooh sticks, feed the ducks or sitting down and watching the world go by. Also there is a little café for ice cream, teas and coffee.

I'm a regular visitor to the lock and the Island. It's always fun to watch the boating fraternity master the Lock. the Island is a lovely place to visit. If you have young children you can feed the ducks (food on sale at the kiosk if you come unprepared.) There is a small play area and other wooden animals for... More

This small island in the Thames has a playground, nice gardens and relaxing views. It is access over small bridge. Feed the ducks and let the kids run free, then lunch at snack bar or bring a picnic.

Walked along here for the first time last weekend and was amazed how nice this part of the Thames was - they have spent a lot of money upgrading the walkways and put in a lot of seating area's - the Lock itself was stunning as the water was in full flow - little zoo etc for the kids

Lovely area located behind the Boulters Lock restaurant and bar. Great for children, a selection of small animals, good refreshment kiosk. Lovely on a sunny day.

We visited this lock and Island to see the Thames full and flooded and we were taken by the charm of the place. The Island is very small but a lovely spot well worth wandering round if you are close, and affording an excellent view of Boulter's Weir at the top end of the Island. It would be good for... More
