This is a great aviation collection run by a group of dedicated enthusiasts. What makes it so special is how friendly and helpful the volunteers are. You are also able to climb into the cockpit of most of the aircraft on display! Children very welcome. There is also a Cafe near bye if you need refreshments. Please note, the collection... More

I visited the Aviation Collection, based on the reviews on this site, with my 5 and 7 year old sons. We were not disappointed. Though it is not signposted from the main road (and there is a story behind that), it is easy to find via satnav. What a find! We spent maybe a couple of hours there, sitting in... More

We visited this attraction with our 4 year old boy, they allowed him to climb in and play with nearly all the cockpits and even made him the youngest person to ride the simulator. The volunteers there are very friendly and make sure you know everything you need to know. This is a non profit making exhibit and you can... More

This place is such a great find I was out for the day with my 14 year old grandson and you can only drag them around the cathedral so many time before they start to complain - then I notice this place on the sat nav. I was so impressed and my grandson was in his element, with the simulator!... More

Run by knowledgeable volunteers, mostly with previous experience at working at Boscome Down, we fou d this little collection well worth a look around. It's not huge but there's lots of local interest and lots for the real enthusiast. definitely worth an hour or two of your time.

I took my 11 year old nephew and we had a great time.He was "flying" the Jaguar for nearly an hour! Very good value for money and helpful and knowledgeable volunteers. We will definitely visit again.

great hands-on experience, can't believe I was allowed to "crash" a jet trainer 3 times in ten minutes. What amazed me most is how much my granddaughters enjoyed it.

A great place to visit if you are at all interested in aviation particularly the jet age. Manned by enthusiastic volunteers who actually don't mind you climbing into some of the exhibits. Amazing just how cramped the cockpits on some of these early jets are. We visited with adult friends but it would be a really brilliant place to take... More

Took my 2 grandchildren, girls 9 and 7, and they both loved it. The guides were charming and enthusiastic and the girls so enjoyed sitting in the cockpits 'flying' the aircraft. The simulator was great too. We had a picnic by the airfield and watched small planes taking off and landing, and we even saw parachutists.

A museum where you can actually touch exhibits! A lovely museum next to the airfield, there are a host of interesting objects and lovely aircraft. The staff were very friendly and full of explanations, and willing to go the extra mile, they couldn't have been more helpful. My other half even got to fly an old D4 simulator, which was... More
