Another great National Trust House

Excellent house to visit, especially if you are a Jane Austen fan. Lovely tea room where you can sit and enjoy the pretty garden.

This one is more of an adult visit as I cant imagine the kids finding it very interesting. But for those into plasterwork this place is a must.

We tend to go here at least once a month to have a snack or afternoon tea. A lovely small venue for spending some time both in the house and in the small garden. The tea rooms are excellent but best use on a sunny day

We visited yesterday morning at their special opening for Christmas and it was so lovely. All the work that had gone into making the rooms look cosy and warm and decorated for Christmas. The food was real that was set up on the tables. Beautifully done. There was a Guide in each room who loved the house and happy to... More

The National Trust property Mompesson House has been opened the first time for the Christmas period. Only the ground floor is seen, but each of the rooms have been dressed with a Victorian / Edwardian theme to reflect how they might have looked when occupied by the original owners. The table is laid for a formal dinner with surrounding candle... More
