It may not be the best cinema but it has a lovely homely feel to it. it is always a nice place to go

I didn't mind paying more than I would normally pay to visit such a lovely old building. BUT having to choose a seat is terribly old fashioned and simply allows those that have booked all the bed seats to turn up late and disrupt everyone frankly! Popcorn was old and the hot chocolate was brown water. That and the cinema... More

Customer service was superb and love the old historic building! Drinks and snacks were obviously expensive, but this is the same for all cinemas

The entrance hall incorporates a beautiful Medieval hall, which is worth a look even if you don't go to see a film. In fact, I'd recommend seeing films elsewhere. The screen we went in was obviously originally a stage judging by the rooms layout, but now it just causes TERRIBLE acoustics. I could barely make out what was being said... More

Definitely an unconventional cinema! Historical and loved the architecture. If you're the type of person that has to have the latest and fancy tech, all around sound and super high definition then this might not be for you, however if you're like me and are more for the experience and to try something new and unique then this is probably... This place needs a total re furb! Seats uncomfortable, shabby and falling apart....! Also, their head office need to sort their offers out - joined the reward club, says u can use the number sent to phone until card arrived.....tried that at vending and told we couldn't...! Crazy!!! If you say we can do something, then we should be able... More

The cinema shows a wide range of films across 5 screens. The facade and outer foyer is actually a Grade I Listed building, built as Ye Halle of John Halle, a Tudor Gothic style building which was originally built as the home of a 15th Century wool merchant in the 1470’s. It received a new Mock Tudor style facade, designed... More

Even if you don't have time to watch a film in the unique old theatre screens, take a peak at the vaulted entrance hall. It's a great taster of what's inside. This is an old building jam-packed with panelling, chandeliers and character - not mod cons. So, go with an open mind, and an extra jumper in winter!

We stumbled across this cinema by chance when we were visiting Salisbury for the weekend. We were incredibly impressed with the interior and the whole building (although we wouldn't have wanted to have been the last person to lock up at night, it's a bit creepy!!!). Despite the age of the building, the screen was fine, seats comfortable and was... More

Went to see Fury last week. The Odeon is a beautiful old medieval building which has been converted into a cinema. My enjoyment whenever I visit this lovely old building is always spoilt by the fact that the sound is always set far too loud! Take some earplugs to avoid being in pain. Such a pity...
