Firstly I've never been to a rock gig quite as civilized where everyone is seated and they sell ice cream between acts! All very polite and orderly, the atmosphere very much depends on the acts but overall a great night was had!

The premises are of good quality and the seating is good, but the queue for the gents is ridiculous, and no wonder if there are only 3 for the whole audience. More toilets and this will be a high quality venue.

Despite bringing back horrors as i sat my O and A levels here in the distant past this proved a great venue. Whilst clearly dated in appearance we had great seats with good views. The bar was reasonably priced and what really made it were the really cheery, friendly staff. Great venue.

I visited this venue for the first time in late April and we had second row tickets on the floor. The seats were comfortable and there was more legroom there than in any other venue when I haven't been sitting in the front row of a block. The size of the venue meant that a more intimate feeling with the... More

Went to see Jethro Tull (well, ok, billed as Ian Anderson but JT in all but name) last night & the concert was stunningly good. We were lucky enough to be in the front row close to the stage so the view was perfect & the sound was loud, clear & well balanced. The venue itself is great (albeit a... More

Under no circumstances book tickets on the 'tiered seating'. It sounds a good idea, you can see over other people sitting in front of you, however, the seats are oddly narrow and there is no leg room. You cannot even edge your feet under the seat in front because of a toe-board. I am 6ft 3in tall, but my partner Liz... More

We enjoyed the Limehouse Lizzy gig last Saturday, great band and we loved hearing all the old favourites, but it was slightly spoilt because we were COLD! The big air-conditioning vents above the seated area were blowing cold air over us all night. I had to resort to wearing all the jumpers I had with me. I am a regular... More

Christmas has begun with our visit to Salisbury to see Maddy Prior and Steeleye. Superb concert with live Morris Dancing and Terry Pratchett guesting

The City Hall plays host to some excellent musicians and entertainers but the actual venue is very dated and sad looking. The seats are crammed in and very uncomfortable...tall people literally have their knees digging into the seat in front! Its a real pity the venue isn't up to the same standard as some of the highly enjoyable acts!

Went here to see a tribute band. It was freezing cold and I had to keep my coat on all the time. The sound level was so high it was unbearable and we left at the interval.
