Only did the grounds which are immaculately kept and very attractive. We spent about 1.5 hours wandering around before adjourning to the cafe for tea and cake Not bad way to spend a few hours

We visited this lovely house on Wednesday ,had a very good day and thoroughly enjoyed it all. But The cafe was certainly an eye opener , compared to the standards elsewhere on site at 11-30 in the morning it was dirty with torn tablecloths and generally looked like a 3rd rate canteen. The young staff were lovely. But come on... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Wilton House today. We were dismayed at the exceedingly long queue but found that the majority were buying familly tickets for the grounds only which are incidentally very good value. The house itself, created by among others Inigo Jones & james Wyatt, is splendid and contains many grand masters largely by Van Dyck but... More

We had grandchildren in tow so just came for the grounds. As it was raining the very helpful lady at the ticket desk said there were little huts to have our picnic in. The rain soon cleared and the children aged 3 and 11 both really enjoyed the amazing adventure playground. I was impressed with the staff member who kept... More

I visited Wilton House with 2 other adults and 3 girls aged 10, 8 and 5. We enjoyed a picnic in the grounds whilst the girls made the most of the adventure playground. They really liked the oversized swing boats as well as the huge climbing frames and slides built around some of the huge trees. After lunch we wandered... More

Lovely attraction with immaculate (and huge) grounds. The adventure playground is superb with a great variety of slides and climbing equipment. The rive is shallow and great for paddling but take shoes to wear in the water. The classic car exhibition is really good but could do with more information on all of the cars. The prices in the cafe... More

We absolutely loved spending a couple of hours walking the grounds, touring the home and enjoying our picnic lunch! The current Earl of Pembroke and his family reside at the house, so only a select number of rooms are open to the public but the rooms available to tour are simply magnificent. Scenes from "Pride & Prejudice" were filmed here!... More

Actually tried visiting Wilton last year in September. Unfortunately the House closes 1st September & we went on the 6th so had a wasted journey. Glad to say that we visited in June this time to make sure it was open. Glad we decided to try again as we had a great day out. The weather was very warm &... More

We had the very best of days out in the English countryside. Wilton House offers a wonderfully-kept historic country home amid gloriously languid lawned gardens with fabulous trees. Then there is the magnificent Palladian bridge straddling one of the two passing rivers....but you can read this in the brochure. From the front door, through the house with stunning paintings and... My husband and I truly enjoyed Wilton House. There was a lot of great art. The family of Wilton is connected to the family of Highclere Castle (Herbert). The house has Rembrandt.
