Went here last summer with my flatmates for a day out that was not too expensive. the surrounding gardens are lovely, though we didn't go round because it was raining. The cost was very cheap, and it took maybe a hour or so to go round the whole thing. The best exhibits were the meerkats and the butterfly house, there... More

We are new to Leeds and have been told by many people to visit tropical world - it was great. £3.50 per adult and free baby, you can't go wrong. There's plenty to see inside, the buggy can easily fit through the paths, it's a great way to spend a couple of hours. Be warned, it is extremely hot and... More

Myself, my partner and her parents went here for the day. We arrived to see beautiful gardens and water fountains. Upon entering tropical world after paying for entrance (which was surprisingly good value) we ventured inside. Well what can I say? It was fantastic! From small mammals and fish to huge lizards and snakes. Obviously not forgetting everyone's favourite the... More

We took my son here and he loved it, Espically the dark zone. There are lots of things to see. Its cheap entry costs too plus the shop isnt overpriced. The cafe is quite expensive though but the park is lovely to have a picnic in. Would definatly reccommend !!

My wife and me took our 3 year old girl and 3 mount old son. It was a nice day out it's not very big but we where there for a good hour or so. My 3yo loved watching the butterflies and birds, also very easy to get pram round.

We visit here normally on school days as it is quieter than on a weekend. I love to take a slow stroll through canal gardens and the park before going to Tropical World. There are an array of wonderful animals waiting inside and its always a joy to watch them. The meerkats are absolutely gorgeous especially if you catch them... More

I had taken the trouble to read some revues here as it had been a couple of years since my last visit. I got to Tropical world by taxicab with a couple of friends and a carer in tow. It being a hot day, my friends and I were already wearing summer clothes, but we found the heat insufferable anyway,... More

I took a year 4 class to Tropical World as part of our Rainforests topic. The day was good, it doesn't take long for the actual visit in tropical world so if you are booking this as a school trip, I would spend some time in Roundhay Park. The trip itself was very good. Tropical World has a very good... More

I've been visiting Tropical World since I was a kid and remember when the now oversized gift shop had a massive pond full of fish. The entry fee of £3.50 would ordinarily be reasonable but not when it is going through a re-furb and some areas look grubby. The butterfly house pools with the fish in were dirty, absolutely thick... Went to Tropical world yesterday after wanting to go for some time now. We were met with good parking facilities not far from the place. Quite a few disabled places with good access too. I had read a review on trip advisor about the place and was rightly advised to expect it to be hot, very hot, it is hot... More
