Relaxing

Beautiful surroundings, lovely walks, feeding the birds, nice cafe. New plantings to enjoy on each visit and always a new landscape to view and relax in. What's not to like?

This is a medium sized park with loads of areas of interest. My favourites were the flower beds, lilac orchards, ornamental gardens and the nature reserve where there are Hides to observe birds. We were lucky enough to see Woodpeckers, Jays, Tree Warblers, members of the Tit family and several wading birds. There is a Café and toilets and free... More

The grounds look lovely as they are kept well. There are good pathways for walks and large areas to have picnics.

we go to feed the squirrels, lovely lake and nature reserves, cafe with nice cake and tea, bird watching paths and places to discover. some problems with flooding though so some flower beds are roped off due to this.

Great for dog walking as everyone controls their dogs. This park is really for dog walking, getting children out of the house or just having a gentle walk as it is on the flat and the paths are well maintained. Very clean and the lake is a lovely place to take little children to feed the ducks.

Car park too small for the size of the park. We saw people parking in the disabled spots without blue badges. Drove in, drove off. We went to Otley Chevin instead.

We go to this park whenever we can on sunny days. There's plenty of seating dotted all over the park. Places too where there are picnic tables set out for families. If you want to see a host of different wildlife, this is the place. Squirrels by the dozen, and a variety of birdlife to appease all " twitchers".( The... More

Originally a failed theme park and entertainment complex from the 1930's.Now a wonderful lake with lots of birds, woodland trails a pretty good cafe and a place to relax and enjoy. You need to visit the Breary Marsh wetland area which is a treasure trove of rare fauna and wildlife.Even on busy days there is always space to relax and explore
