We have spent hours here with the grandchildren. Find a nice spot near the stream and let the grandkids paddle, or run about on the grass. Feed the ducks and the very tame squirrels, which you will find through a little break in the trees, near the stone seating area

This an excellent park for families and couples. Great for dog walking with plenty of bins a nice lake with a café that serves great food and drinks. Toilets are also in the park which are clean and well kept. All in all a lovely walk

Can be a busy place to visit at times. Worth knowing that there there is a rough car park up at the top end of the park.

Golden Acre is a great place to walk the dog and blow out the morning cobwebs. Lots of wildlife and friendly people although you do get the odd crazy person who picks their hand bag dog up or shields their kids from friendly dogs. The café has also been recently improved.

May not be a great tourist attraction, but as a local, we love going there with out three year old. Very peaceful setting. They have a Cherry Garden which should be really nice during Cherry Blossom, but not sure about when this happens.

If you like horticulture or wild fowl this is a great little spot for a walks and a picnic. Be warned there are lots of hungry geese willing to share your picnic. Moorhens, ducks and some pretty tame squirrels. These a purpose build viewing deck son you can get close to the waters edge too. It also has a small... More

We visit Golden Acre at least once a week. A beautiful park, always in top condition, the different seasons bring out different but equally impressive characteristics that delight its visitors. It's a leisurely 30 minute stroll around the full lake, but you will be tempted to go round twice. Once you know it you will start to explore the full... More

Because of its location this is a park you either find by accident or because someone tells you about it. This is a completely different sort of park to Roundhay, being much smaller and a bit more formal. Having said that, there is still a decent sized area to explore and various paths lead to the nature reserve and other... More

We visited this park as we wanted to go to the Adel Dam Nature Reserve adjoining the park. The park itself is lovely with pretty floral borders and a lake. The nature reserve is located at the back of the lake through a wooden gate. The reserve is wooded with two hides for bird watching and regular visitors include woodpeckers... More

Go here regular with my partner and kids. Its a lovely walk round the lake and the kids love to feed the ducks and squirrels.During summer it gets very busy as people take picnics and bbqs and spend the day there. There is a cafe there too and its a nice place to sit and have a cuppa. Beautiful gardens... More
