This is an excellent example of a park at its best. it covers a large area which makes it an ideal spot for a walk; particularly when this walk takes you through well looked after parkland and then within a few minutes, rugged yet beautiful woodland. When you consider that Golden Acre Park also has a big lake, which is... More

One of my favourite places to go in Leeds - lovely sized park with beautiful, varied grounds. From a short walk to scenic bird hides, this a wonderfully balanced visit and I never get bored of sitting by the water or going exploring, it's nice to get away and return refreshed! The café in the centre is also pretty good... More

Lots of different places to explore. Lots of different wild fowl on lakes, especially around Paul's pond. Cafe being re fitted so unfair to judge ... But Porto Loos were filthy. Free parking was a nice surprise and lots of dog poo bins. Excellent :)

My wife and I always love a trip to Golden Acre Park as no matter the weather it's a great place to visit. The only negative is the parking facilities, there are limited spaces and on a warm day they quickly fill.

I love this park, it is always clean and as the seasons change never ever boring, I usually walk from Cookridge Hall golf club via Pauls pond and then under the road tunnel and round the lake and back to Cookridge through Breary Marsh and Pinfold lane; my dog is fine until the last bit and then the dragging feet... It's got everything you could wish for from a park, the large size for a brisk walk, the delightful enclosed vegetable garden, the specialty flowers (chris'mums and dalhias) and music on a Sunday afternoon in the sunshine with an ice cream. Perfect.

We went to Golden Acre Park on a Thursday and the weather was lovely. We walked round the lake and fed the ducks before having our picknic on a table under the trees. The gardens are very well kept with plenty of places to sit and admire the surroundings. There is a cafe with seating outside and a place to... More

It is a large park on the outside of Leeds that has something for everyone. The lake is a popular walk on the level ideal for those who have difficulty with slopes and wheelchairs with lots of ducks and wildfowl for children to feed. The other areas are popular with joggers dog walkers and all who want a good walk.... More

i was overly happy when i visited Golden Acre park, i have now visited numerous times and personally think it is a beautiful place for a nice family walk, with panoramic views. There is no children's play ground but there is no need for one, the peaceful park is perfect for all age groups and perfect for people who enjoy... More
