We went along to see this play last night without much expectation, we hadn't read the reviews or discussed it with anyone. It was thought provoking, moving (I cried), funny, the music was fabulous the story line as relevant today as ever, food banks, pawn brokers, life, love and loss. If you get chance to see it before it finishes... More

As I was in the area I popped into the Playhouse for my lunch and was pleasantly surprised. It's extremely good value for money - it feels a little bit "canteen like" but I will visit again if I am in the area. I only had a sandwich and a coffee, but the hot food smelt good and plenty of... More

A visit to this theatre in the round is always a pleasure .an excellent menu of hot food ,served from 5 p.m. was available .the variety suited all tastes in our party. The modern dress production of Sweeney Todd was a riveting production with some wonderful performances ,great ensemble work & interesting staging.a hidden orchestra made a curtain call at... More

Our third visit there. This time we ate -- lots of the food looked nice but the vegetarian nut roast was a bit bland. There a free facility to phone for a taxi but a taxi rank outside would be handier. Apart from that you can expect TOP ENTERTAINMENT at this venu and friendly staff.

The ballet at the Playhouse was incredibly well interpreted and danced with a strong classical technique, sprinkled with humour and stunning music!

Perfect venue for seeing a play. Really enjoyable experience and will definitely return. The event was really well organised and professionally carried out. Tickets were reasonable too!

Worth every penny and so much choice. Well worth it. The food is on the expensive side but for fresh home cooked you can't complain.

West Yorkshire Playhouse doesn't pretend to be everyone's favourite theatre but, when you do go, you will enjoy the experience tremendously. We have seen ballets, musical productions and plays here (the last was Sherlock Holmes) and the atmosphere is excellent.
