We went to see Dead Dog in a Suitcase and Other Love Songs - great crazy show! The WYP is a modern theatre and seating is arranged so that wherever you sit you have a very good view - beware of the first few rows as these are nearly within touching distance of the performers!!

Not a bad seat in the auditoreum. Good food at the 'restaurant' although we were disappointed that ti was closed on a Sunday when we last went.

Went here to see Anmdy Hamilton in the Quarry Theatre. First time visit for both of us so we didn't know what to expect from the place but enjoyed the experience. It is a few years old now but feels modern with plenty of space in the foyers and bar/cafe. Pre show drinks weren't too badly priced and you can... More

WYP puts on some great productions , I've been many times. Richard III was no exception. It has a pleasant, airy cafe for pre theatre lunch, light meals, a drink or just a coffee. It's worth taking a gamble, go along, even if the play isn't known to you - I've seen some surprisingly good performances. Lunch and a matinee... More

Love this theatre, always a great atmosphere and friendly staff, all the shows are beautifully put on and attention to detail is exceptional, we love the Quarry theatre as the sight lines are great regardless where you sit.

So I go to a lot of theatres in this country and this is a really exciting and brilliant theatre as there are 2 theatres within the 1 building (One of which I haven't been to so I can't comment on) and it has modern facilities making it suitable for an audience on stuff such as loads of bar area... The West Yorkshire Playhouse is one of the major regional theatres in the UK. The theatre programme stretches from Shakespeare revivals and modern revivals, to new writing and youth theatre. It is has a large bar area where people can hang out. The night I attended there were lots of families present, which gave the place a community atmosphere. There... More

I love going to the Playhouse - the productions are excellent, the theatres are lovely and spacious and the food is always varied and tasty. The only fault was that Little Voice went on until 10.25 and I missed my last train...

My first ever visit here to see 'Beryl' at the Courtyard Theatre. First impressions are good. There seems to be plenty of space in the bar/communal area, however not much seating in the coffee bar area although you can spread out into the bar area without too much trouble. Obviously the architecture is completely different to 'The Grand' so not... More
