We arrived early to the playhouse to have lunch but I was a bit disappointed with the quality of food and the queue to pay for it, I don't expect value for money at these places but the prices were'nt too bad, but you will need £20 for a bite to eat and few drinks for two of you. However... More

My Mum and I went to see White Christmas on Saturday when the weather was particularly white. We had decided to have lunch there so had everyone else in Leeds! We queued for about half an hour to be served and by the time we got our food there were no seats left so we had to stand up and... More

Just got back from the West Yorkshire Playhouse after seeing White Christmas. Fantastic. Darren Day was brilliant as was Oliver Tompsett. The whole cast were slick and polished and the set was great especially the tap dancing men on the piano keyboard staircase. I was very impressed with the whole experience and will certainly be making the trip from Bury... More

The larger 'Quarry Theatre' is particularly good as you see from any seat without pillars blocking your view which you find in many older theatres. Acoustically excellent too with a very large stage which is used to very good advantage in a wide range of productions. Just seen White Christmas there, which was excellent and a really good feel food... More

This is a lovely auditorium. We went to see White Christmas, which is a wonderful show. We sat on the front row which made us feel part of the show! No matter where you sit in this theatre the views of the stage are excellent, nothing to obstruct the views! The bar area is spacious with plenty of seating and... More

What a lovely intimate theatre - we were sitting on row F and felt as though we were part of the show = although excellent views from everywhere. White Christmas was a brilliant show and we enjoyed every part of it. - the songs and the dancing were all amazing and made me rush home to re-watch the original film.... More

Saw 'White christmas' which is a really cheesy (and thin) story but the production was truly excellent for what it was and the singing sublime. The auditorium is very comfortable with good seat raking and no obstructed views - even on the wings - which is unusual. The acoustics are excellent - almost too much so as the volume of... More

My daughter and I have seen several shows at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, including Annie, Jungle Book, and recently Jayson and the Giant Peach. All the seating is arranged so that, regardless of where you are seated, you have a good view of the stage. All the shows we've seen there have been well produced and very entertaining, with good...
