Always a great place to visit and enjoy a theatrical experience. Not to be missed. Sound bar and two comfortable auditoriums which, together with a varied and exciting programme makes this a valuable asset of the city. Meeting the actors after a performance too is quite unique and entertaining.

The WYP, at first, appears cold and uninviting but this really is not the case at all. It offers a wide selection of plays and dance and it really is a treat. The bar turns into a bit of a crush at interval and this could be reduced if organised differently. Otherwise a fantastic auditorium with excellent views from each... More

Yes the building lacks any charm but the quality of the productions invariably makes up for this. The summer with Bennett and much more was particularly strong. There is not a poor seat in the house and the modern stage design means that you can always enjoy the theatre's offering to the full. The bar is functional and reasonably efficient. It's... More

The food has definitely improved over the past year and is a super way to make the whole theatre experience (particularly when attending a matinee) more enjoyable.

While in Yorkshire for the Grand Depart, we saw Beryl here the night before Stage 1. I know this is not a review of the play itself, but, just to go on record, what an outstanding story. Thanks to Maxine Peake for giving this woman props, especially on the eve of the Tour de France. We took bus #36 from... More

great accoustics, every seat I've occupied had a good view. Ample parking on site with cafe you can visit whether or not you're at the theatre - not a bad place for lunch in leeds

My first visit to this theatre and I was pleasantly surprised. A small and well laid out theatre and great to see good facilities for a wheelchair. It is fantastic to feel you are involved with the play. The show 'Betty Blue Eyes' was absolutely fantastic and I am sure the ambience of the theatre itself added to the performance.... More

Saw the Beryl Burton play this afternoon - fabulous script, fantastic performance, clever use of props. I loved every second of this play and loved the way the whole performance came together to create the life story of such an amazing person. This was a treat to myself and I loved being able to go to a mid-week afternoon matinee.... More
