Visited the Grand Theatre this evening for the performance of the Kings Speech. The theatre is beautiful and our seats in the dress circle offered a fabulous view of the whole stage. All staff we met were welcoming and friendly and the pre order service for interval drinks was a great way to avoid the bar queue. Unfortunately during the... More

Saw the closing night of Carousel from stall seats. What an amazing theatre. There was so much to take in during the interval. Fascinating interior, beautifully restored in a centrally located venue. Helpful box office staff. We really enjoyed the show too. Would love to return to this wonderfully grand theatre.

Great seats in the stalls with plenty of leg room, for a marvellous show in this wonderful old restored theatre. surroundings. Made into a real treat by a visit to the aptly named Just Grand Vinatage Tea Room in the next door Grand Arcade beforehand. Just grand all round

Went last night. This production is by Opera North. A truly amazing evening. The set was superb, especially the Clam bake scene. The singing was top class. All characters totally believable. Well done Opera North.

Went here on a Saturday evening to see Carousel the musical. It is a beautiful theatre albeit with a combination of restored period bars and theatre area, however the seating has all been replaced with modern and comfortable seating in an air conditioned environment.

Beautyifully refurbished excellant sound good view of stage throughout, only fault seats are very basic. The main thing I was really pleased with was the staff had pencil torches and shon them on the ignorant people who attempted to point theire mobile phones at the stage to record, this is so damned annoying to the people who have paid good...
