Went to see Marc Almond on Friday 24 April. Superb acoustics.. Stalls are not on a slope so smaller people would find it difficult to see. Ignore the first bar you see and turn right down the corridor where that bar is better priced. All in all a great venue

The tiled hall is fabulous. Well worth a visit but perhaps avoid 12 noon as there is sometimes a queue and insufficient staffing to cope with this popular eatery on a busy lunchtime. The experience is great but during the last 5 visits I gave turned away and left the queue on 2 occasions as the system for ordering and... More

I am disabled & had to walk miles to a room where I could take a form so I could get a postal vote for 07.05.2015 General Election. There is an entrance for the disabled however it is a long way from the Disabled parking bays. There is ' only' 1 lift, there should be another one for the other... More

had reservations for the Czech philharmonic orchestra on Saturday evening, the building is fantastic, the concert was unbelievably good, but having to wait until 20 minutes before the start, held back from entering the stall area was rather off putting!, also I thing the acoustics could do with upgrading to compliment such prestigious orchestras such as this.

Visited fir the Psychic Sally evening and had previously visited to see Sarah Zmillican - so you can see it hosts a variety of dhows. The architecture and beauty of the tall rooms is breathtaking. As you walk in through the main doors you will be in awe of the beautiful ceiling decoration in the foyer, it's magnificent. Many of... More

We visited the town hall to see the BV Social Club this week, they were fantastic. We entered the hall by a side entrance there was a small room selling drinks and instant coffee rather like a 70's railway station buffet, the ladies serving were great but the atmosphere was very poor. We did not visit the other bar. Our... More

This is a lovely, large old building. The carpets are a bit shabby and the plasterwork has come away in parts of the building, however this was not enough to diminish the beauty of this stately building. The main hall has a stage, stalls and a balcony. The balcony is enhanced by a row of carved heads, which are quite... More

I went with friends to the Cockail in the City event. The venue is stunning and formed a perfect backdrop. Access was to areas used for the event and not to look round the City hall. My views and comments relate to that and that alone

This is a beautiful buliding. Everytime I go I marvel at the architecture inside and the lovely colours. I went to see Fanfare Ciocarlia. Exciting brass band music, too loud for my taste but we did get to dance in the aisles. The acoustics suit loud music but not orchestral music for small orchestra. For example, Tchaikovsky comes over well,... More

I've been past this imposing Leeds landmark for many years, with it's columns & lion statues, either by car or on foot. For the first time, I managed to get inside. There are the usual offices of local government, but there is also a magnificent & surprisingly large Concert Hall, completed with grand stage & organ. Well worth a look.
