Excellent venue for the film festival, the spacious hall was great! Loved the size, the décor and the festival staff we're very accommodating. It's worth visiting just to see the scale of the building.

We attended our daughters graduation ceremony here so it was always going to be a big ask to draw our attention away from her big day,but this Victorian marvel certainly did it's upmost to dazzle us. The architecture, both externally and internally is impressive, and on a scale which reflects what must have been an extremely prosperous city in it's heyday.

What a magnificent building. The concert hall is wonderful, with lots of room for the audience and a stage which looks big enough to acommodate almost any show. My wife watched the show (Russian White Army Band and many other fabulous acts plus about seven different Male choirs including the Beverley Male voice Choir, of which I was a member.formed... More

Rather grand theatre for a concert but the act on said the acoustics were not the best they heard but as an audience we found it good. Two bars either side of the auditorium served a good selection of drinks. Toilets were either side with one side only having three cubicles which made for a rather long queue before the... More

Set square, impressive Victorian building, clock tower. Large flight of steps although there is an entrance for those who find steps a problem. Used to house the Magistrates' Courts until they move about 200 yards West to a custom built building. Sign on the outside to The Bridewell. Very nice hall which is used for concerts and dances. Large pipe... More

I recently organised a conference for around 100 delegates at Leeds Town Hall and was impressed. The building itself is very nice, a bit outdated (but in a quite nice/quaint way), the staff were very friendly and helpful, the equipment/tech support was good, the place itself was clean and the food was good. Everything was served on time and they... More

I did really like Leeds' Town Hall, it was pretty impressive building and kind of a typical looking Town Hall, so would definitely recommend visiting it. Super easy to get there, it's maybe like 10 minutes from the railway station by foot.

This is not to be confused with the Leeds Beer Festival which is held in March at the Civic Centre in Pudsey and which is much better. Admittedly LIBF is held at one of the finest venues in Leeds at the Town Hall which LBF seem unable to match. There are not many brewers represented here at LIBF and some... More
