A 15 minute walk from our hotel. I had no idea the shopping district goes on endlessly it seems. There is something for everyone at this place. Shoes, watches, clothing, electronics...you name it they have it somewhere in and around this area.

So lucky in Leeds to have so many Arcades to chose from. They all offer something a bit different. I like this one with its choice of shops, then there's the more upmarket Victoria quarter arcade abutting to County Arcade. I've rediscovered the Grand Arcade quite recently which is now so vibrant again full of its independant outlets and the... More

Quite narrow and not particulary interesting but neither bad. There are some interesting shops but the best are elsewhere. I prefer the Victorian Arcades.

The area of, and around, Thornton's arcade is interesting, and takes you back to the Victorian era. It gets you away from the High Street chain shops, to something a bit different.

Beautiful arcade, with nice little cultural and historic features. A must in Leeds. Accessible from the high street, bang in the middle of city centre and close to Trinity Shopping Centre and the market.

This arcade has the most amazing Victorian architecture. It was a real surprise. When crossing the city centre I used this as a shortcut just so I could enjoy it again and again.

Okay, I admit it - even as an OAP I still like to time my passing through the arcade to see the clock do it's thing. Been going since 1877 I'm told and the best free show in town.

Good to kill a few hours in, or to shelter from the snow :) lots of different things to look at, some rather unusual
