Great array of shops and places to eat, right in the heart of Leeds. Close to the historic Kirkgate Market. Try the delicious cupcakes and muffins in the downstairs bakery, get the best coffee (Nutella cappuccino, yum) and gourmet dogs from Primos, see the extensive collective of handcrafted jewellery and check out the regular vintage and craft fairs. There's even... More

Fantastic architecture and really interesting but niche shops. Here is a short video guide to view before you decide to come here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C34EUecPyJY

The corn exchange building is very interesting as it is oval in shape. It doesn't stand out as it is hidden between the old indoor market and other buildings around by bus shelters etc. Inside it has a fantastic domed glass ceiling and a myriad of unique shops selling jewellery, foodstuffs, soaps, cosmetics etc. I do hope that it continues to... This is a beautiful building with some cool specialist and quirky stores. A couple of nice looking cafés and food places. I recommend Humpit for hummus and pittas. The basement floor lies empty which is a pity as it is an ideal space for a flagship restaurant or a market.

This place is well worth a look whenever you're in Leeds. Beautiful architecture inside and out which is worth a look for itself. Loads of independent shops to browse and some nice food places in the bottom floor.

This place is a current symbol of Leeds glory during the industrial revolution. There were daily trading agricultural products of the region and to better inspect them was built a huge glass roof allowing light to pass through. Today the space is restored and houses some restaurants and small shops.

Although the quality of clothing shops has deteriorated, there are some great places to eat (Humpit being a favourite of mine). Always a pleasure to visit, yet there is a bit of wasted space.

I'm almost ashamed to admit to it but having lived in Leeds all of my life, this was the first time I had ever stepped inside the Corn Exchange. What a beautiful building it is and the glass roof is breathtaking in itself. The ground level and upper level have a variety of independent small shops whereas the basement is... More
