Out of the bustle of the normal shopping areas in Leeds is this circular architectural gem. A good new use of a building without wholesale destruction of the interior. It has been so tastefully restored that you can almost imagine the hustle and bustle of the traders there in times gone by. Yet you almost forget you're in the middle... More

Great building and it is nice to see old architecture being tastefully preserved. Leeds has some amazing historic buildings an is well worth a day trip. That said apart from an interesting card shop there was very little other than the building to recommend it . The ground floor was dark and roped off and there were puddles of water... More

Easy to find down near the markets in Leeds. Parking was very easy and really cheap. If you want to go to Leeds to look at the building designs the corn exchange does not disappoint. The ceiling is amazing as are the ceilings in the arcades. The colours and the tiles in arcades are bright and vibrant. Very nice architecture.... More

lovely building, great architecture. Very attractive boutique shops, hairdressers and cafes. Not far to the river to walk along

I love the building and that alone should earn it 5 stars. Unfortunately it loses stars for the lack of access; not just no wheelchair access but not even a handrail to help you up the steps. It loses more stars for the poor shops; many units are empty and the others are predictably faux alternative. There are a couple... More

The building is very interesting and the roof (just imagine that the glass has been cleaned) is spectacular. There are some interesting independent shops here but there is a lot of empty units and the whole of the ground floor is empty. We had a nice coffee just before we finished for the evening. There were plenty of tables and... More

When working in Leeds I sometimes get a chance to go into the city centre. I found Vanilla One coffee bar by chance. Chris the barista is very knowledgeable about the coffee he serves and happily talks to you about the latest beans being used. There is a good range of light food and lovely cakes. Try the soup as... This is a lovely area to spend a few hours in! There are coffee houses and restaurants on the ground floor and lovely small shops around the balcony. The day we went there was a record and CD sale in the basement. But the best thing about this venue is the beautiful architecture! The ceiling is stunning (photo attached) and... More

Very nice individual shops and some stalls set up on a saturday. Good feel about the place, lively, entertainment for children sometimes. Coffee, home made cakes and French baking available in the basement. Lovely old building it's just a pity more shops are not let, it would be great if it was full. Bought some lovely clothes.

i am a keen photographer and my friend suggested i go to this place to take photographs , as soon as i walked through the door i was mesmerized by the stunning architecture . I wandered around the small but interesting shops ( including a vintage camera shop - i was in my element ! ) there were some very... More
