A worthwhile visit with a really good range, particularly of C20th sculpture and visual art. I really enjoyed the exhibition of photographs of sculptures in multiple contexts as well as a lot of the permanent collection. An easy and interesting place to spend a couple of hours and the cafe was beautiful!

Went in half term. Make sure you walk though the cafe and look at the beautiful tiling. Attended a free workshop by Leeds art college. Inspiring for the children with plenty to do

I visited on my own during half term and was impressed, there was lots going on for the children and families and some exhibitions which were well presented and clearly labeled. The main collection wasn't huge but there were some interesting pieces there. It was a free visit and a the Tiled Cafe was a pleasant surprise, very lovely decorated... More

It was interesting and valuable to have one's attention drawn to the impact of the First World War on artists working in the first half of the 20th century and their paintings. The poets of that era are taught at school, but the impact on painting is less discussed. It was nice to see the Grimshaws and the Spencers; and... More

I popped in when I was on business in Leeds. There's a good mix of art work and sculpture. A nice café and a children's area. I spent about an hour in there. It's definitely worth a visit.

We visited for the monthly activity which was absolutely brilliant and a lovely introduction to the Gallery for my two children. The activity sheets for the main gallery were also good, though we only managed to get to look at about 4 paintings in the room I love. I wanted to introduce them to great art, but not upset anyone... More

This art gallery has a varied collection which are worth seeing.I loved seeing Grimshaw paintings as I have copies at home. Also there were many paintings you want to stop and think about. My complaint was the staff who were sat in rooms reading and didn't even acknowledge your presence.Even a hello would do.They seemed to have no interest in their jobs.They...
