I notice this was voted 34th out of 102v attractions in Leeds. No offence intended to Leeds, which is a great city, but what are top 33? Okay, it isn't as big as Birmingham Art Gallery, or Manchester or the Walker in Liverpool, but we are talking some serious quality here. Inevitably, for a Northern English city, it has it's... More

This small museum contains some interesting pieces... especially from the WWI period British movement known as "Vorticism" which I found compelling. The museum also often has good temporary exhibitions that are worth seeing. It is free!

Not having been to the Art Gallery since I was young lad, I had some time free en route to an appointment elsewhere, so took the opportunity to call in. It is free entrance so what more do you want, liked what I saw during visit, so will make effort to spend a bit more time next visit. Especially liked... More

This is somewhere I visit about once a year, just because I like art and because the building itself is a nice place to be. There are permanent exhibitions plus some others drafted in for varying periods of time. Admission is free so there is no excuse for not giving it a try. Some museum and gallery cafes are rather... Free attraction right in the centre of Leeds. Lots of things to see and often free activities for the kids too. Town hall is just a few steps away and the city museum is just round the corner

Like most art galleries, found it to be a bit of a warren particularly with the link with the Henry Moore Institute next door. I liked the Stanly spencer paintings in particular .

Unless you're a diehard for art, you'd be more inspired to visit London or Manchester, as the collection here left me cold. The building itself is a nice setting, but the true gem is the coffee shop of the museum. Easy to reach and next to the impresive Town Hall.

The restaurant here is well worth a visit. All tiles and brass. Spectacular for a council owned building. Paintings not bad either.

I agree (like other reviews tend to reflect) the café of this gallery is a lovely place to have a snack and a coffee - the food is nice and some of the portions can be small but good value for money and it's easy to find a seat except at really busy times - huge area to sit and... More
