Nice woodland walk, gentle, but with hills if you choose to follow a path with an incline. Shame about the dog poo on some of the paths though, especially on the path near the car park. Irresponsible dog owners. Grrrrr!

If I could have given good I would have done as I have mixed views on the place, no pun intended! The good points? Beautiful scenery, very much out in the nature, huge space to explore. And the bad? Not enough signs so we walked aimlessly getting nowhere, very very hilly and uneven. There's supposed to be 2 pubs and... More

Lunch was good but the spa leaves quite a lot to be desired. Spa is tired and dated and requires a major facelift. Jacuzzi was not working the day we visited. The pool needed a major clean and also the changing rooms were grubby and very cramped. Will not rush back.

Came here last weekend to get out of the house and go for a stroll. Parked in the less busy quarry car park, where there was plenty of space. We did a circular route round the park, which was relatively gentle most of the way round, although a couple of short steeper climbs in places. It was pretty well signposted... More

Never tire of walking the Chevin. Numerous routes to take and some spectacular views, particularly from Surprise View off York Gate and again at Caley Crags, which is the Leeds Road A660 side of the Chevin.. Both were good enough to inspire the artist J W Turner whose friend and patron, Walter Fawkes' house, Farnley Hall can be seen from... More

Walk different parts of the "chevin" every week of the year, in rain & fog it's atmospheric, in snow and frost - beautiful "Narnia" like, and in sun with good visibility the glory of wharfedale opens up! Fantastic weekend café nr 2 car parks (longer opening hours in summer at cheerful chilli).

Wonderful location, beauty spot, all the things you want from a wooded hillside to wander about on. Good parking, 4 car parks I think on the various roads crossing the Chevin.

We parked on the busy main road and walked up through the park, then down the steps towards Otley. We stopped at the cafe in the park for a drink andthe dog got a few treats to munch on while we drank our coffees. We caught the bus back from Otley to the car. Really good.
