This market has such a large variety of stalls offering just about anything you can think of at keen prices. I visit quite regularly mainly to purchase fabric an always manage to find just what I want. The fresh fish stalls are great, you will be spoilt for choice the same with fruit and vegetable stalls all selling lovely fresh... More

Brilliant market, nice and big, but not unbearably large. Everything you need at fantastic prices, can even find some unique little charms out there which you wouldn't normally come across!! Not your everyday boring chain shop items!

Great place, always come here for bits and bobs when shopping in Leeds. Could do with a spruce up (on the cards apparently) but they really need to lift their standards, purge a lot of the junk shops and really focus in on making it a superb "confidential" style market like in places like Barcelona. No reason it shouldn't be... More

its a good market if you are looking for cheap stuff to buy. I usually don't like markets but this one is definitely a good market to visit every so often. The food is cheap, stuff is good and marked is usually full and bustling. Certainly needs cleaning up and organizing a bit and may be little more air into... More

Stalls selling products from different parts of the world. It reflects how multicultural Leeds is. I would love to go back one day just to buy produce for North African or Caribbean cuisines, which I am currently into. Also managed to buy 6 salmon heads for a £1 before I went back in North Lincs. late afternoon shopping here is... More

We visited Leeds for a day trip and decided to pop into the market. It was HUGE and we spent an hour or so in there. A really good old fashioned market. We bought several items there. There is also a smaller outdoor area. The indoor section is of architectural interest in the front part. Just one thing that concerned me... More

We popped into the market & were taken aback by the beautiful interior. Visiting from London it was lovely to see a market still in action that isn't just for tourist "crafts". We had brekkie- cakes & coffee, for a bargain price of £4.50. The cooked breakfasts inside looked very good. There are a good variety of stalls, haberdashery, pet... More

Still looks like it was 20 years ago when I went to the market with my dad but times have moved on and people... More

This is a great market to visit. There is a great atmosphere, and stalls selling every imaginable item. The fruit and veg stalls sell great produce at knock down prices. There are many bargains to be had along butchers row. A great place to visit.

The actual market was of no particular interest to us, but we went to look at the impressive building, and combine with looking at the shopping centre opposite, very interesting.
