Pop inside for a revelation on conservation, a charming indoor victorian market in splendid colour and full working order. The stalls are in cast and wrought iron and crammed with produce, bought some beautiful flowers at a very competitive price - so this is not just a pretty place. If I lived nearby I would make a point of shopping... More

All markets should be like this one. The meat and fish alley is simply amazing the range of produce is stunning. In terms of the rest of the market well it's good old fashioned market stalls. Make sure to go outside and see the fruit and veg section. It makes you want to move to Leeds.

I really didn't expect anything from this market - I was even sure if I was going to go inside, but it was absolutely fascinating. It was a kind of funny combination of very traditional working-class Yorkshire and new foreign goods and produce. Also, it was fun looking at the original Marks and Spencer's stall, which is still there. You... More

Good market, divided into two parts: outdoor stalls with mainly cheap second hand clothes, books and CDs , (looks more like a big car boot sale than a market actually, quite interesting to browse around as you're likely to come across some kind of bargain...) and an indoor market. The indoor part consists mainly of food stalls, delicious-looking fruit and... More

Although the shops were typical market stalls the meat and fish section had been maintained. The adjoining outside market had cheap clothes and bags etc

This market is filled with crap! Don't waste your time here - skip this market and spend your time elsewhere. Also, the people in and around this market are sketchy so beware.
