I can only agree with other people regarding Johnny Briggs - he brought the tour to life, he managed to keep my teenage son entertained and involved. I suggest you do the tour before visiting the Parsonage, not only do you get £1.00 discount if you show your tour ticket but I feel you can appreciate museum more.

We had a marvellous day in Haworth. The very best part was the inspirational talk and walk given by Johnny Briggs - Bronte Walks. He got everyone involved and was very entertaining, passionate and knowledgeable about his subject.. This tour is a must for anyone visiting Haworth to learn about the Brontes.

I couldn't agree more with the very positive reviews of the tour given by Johnny Briggs (or Johnnie - I'm afraid I don't know which spelling is correct). It was the best guided tour I have ever been on - knowledgeable, impassioned, witty and involving very good rapport with the group. Haworth was the last place I visited on my... More

Having been on far too many dull, dry walking tours with guides who mechanically spout out tedious historical facts, I had little hope for The Passionate Brontes. But Johnnie Briggs swept the carpet from under my feet. Rarely have I met anyone so passionate, so articulate and so utterly compelling. Every minute in his company was pure joy and I... More

So glad I saw this walk on Trip Advisor. We went along with high expectations after reading the reviews. I would say my expectations were exceeded. The guide knows a great deal about the Brontes and their times and has the ability to convey his knowledge in an engaging, moving and entertaining manner. We heard about not just the Brontes... More

We did the Bronte walk on Sunday and have not stopped telling our friends how good it was. The guide Johnnie Briggs was fantastic and we both came away feeling like we knew the Brontes well. I thought I knew a fair bit about the Brontes and I consider myself a fan, but I learnt so much more than I... More

Entertaining, informative, touching. John Briggs is one of the best guides I have ever met, sincerely passionate about his job, not someone that just plays the same part over and over. He walked us through the village telling us the story of the Bronte family, with very private details based on their letters, and inviting us to interact with our... More

Started back of the Church on High Street, and off onto the moors toward, Bronte Bridge and waterfall. Great signpost's and tracks. After the waterfalls continued up to Top Withins and then over moor to Ponden hall and Reservoir, then back to waterfalls and Haworth. Thgis walk is based on a Country Walking magazine Route Card.

My husband and I did the tour with Johnnie Briggs 10/5/14.....we thoroughly enjoyed this walk, Johnnie is a great story teller and had us mesmerized with his deep knowledge of the Brontes lives, we learnt such a lot about the Brontes, we did the tour before our visit to the Parsonage and would recommend this.
