The Passionate Brontes is an inspiring and entertaining stroll through the lives and times of Rev Patrick Bronte's remarkable family. The guide uses their poems, letters and novels to weave their story into the fabric of the village. This is a gentle stroll with a relaxed pace that lasts just over an hour and covers less than half a mile around the top of the village and finishes the story in the Bronte Chapel.

We had an extremely interesting visit with Johnny -we had taken a French visitor to Haworth and unfortunately the parsonage is closed in January and also it snowed! We asked in the tourist office about a guide and they said there wasn't a tour planned that afternoon but they contacted Johnny who agreed to do it. He told the story... More

Johnnie's Saturday afternoon walk was a highlight of our weekend trip to Haworth. The experience surpassed all of our expectations, being that Johnnie spent almost 2 hours with us telling us of Haworth & the Bronte's childhood. Though the walk does not cover much ground at all, my friends and I were never bored since Johnnie is an expert storyteller.... More

Three reliable friends and myself joined Johnnie on his splendid bronte walking tour last Saturday. What a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours we spent wandering round the cobbles and the meadow with him. He was very interesting, knowledgable and entertaining. Certainly very good value for money. Thanks Johnnie

I've been meaning to do the Bronte 'pilgrimage' for years and I'm so glad I chose Bronte Walks to learn about the wonderful history of the Brontes. Two friends and I joined Johnnie Briggs and a small group on the Passionate Brontes tour. It was a 2 hour journey around the main areas of Haworth and while there isn't much... More

We recently had a guest from Hawaii keen to explore Yorkshire far and wide, Johnnie was given the task of looking after Carolyn for 4 days and what an amazing job he done. Nothing was too much trouble ,his knowledge of just not Bronte but the whole of Yorkshire is astounding . Taking her from Herriots to Bronte and the... More

I just can say enough about what this trip meant to me and Johnnie Briggs made it all possible. I've been a fan of Emily Bronte and Wuthering Heights for the better part of my life, and to actually experience where it all took place, and to have Johnnie Briggs take me back in time was absolutely mesmerizing! From the... More
