OK, as it goes. The local authority-owned house is a bit of a mish-mash, inside and out. The most interesting rooms (excepting the bedroom with the alleged ghost) are on the ground floor. Stained glass heraldry in the housebody window is lovely, and the back 'cold' kitchen most atmospheric. Be improved no end if the garden was returned to its... More

We have visited Bolling Hall hundreds of times over the last 30 odd years. I went as a child and our 11 year old still finds it fascinating after many visits. Bolling hall gives a great insight into life during the civil war in Bradford. Bolling hall boasts its own ghost and has even been featured on most haunted (... More

Came as a parent helper on a school trip from Harrogate last week and have to say it was excellent. Jane (aka "Mistress Joan") really brought it to life for the kids - with a combination of story telling and acting by both her and the kids. Loved the use of different rooms within the story. Jane really put her... More

For history buffs, this is a must visit. The hall has been wonderfully preserved, both inside and out. I loved it.

Great history. Things for the children to do in the school holidays. The ghost room had a great story to tell and the children loved the old nursery.

I love this museum, it's just brilliant. The stories, history and architecture really make this the jewel of Bradford museums. It's not well publicised, not all singing and dancing with electrical gadgets and I hope it never will be like that. It's perfect how it is and I can't wait to go back. Whilst your there, don't forget to cross... More

Getting to this hall is a bit strange as its now trapped in a housing estate and to be honest from the outside (especially with the building works) its looks rather uninviting. At first we we're actually not going to go in...but we're so glad we did. Entrance is free and so is parking, the staff, what few there are,... More

It was a fabulous museum, free to enter and the staff were helpful and informative. There was an activity for my son which he thoroughly enjoyed doing during the walk round the museum.

Wow, what a hidden gem. It's years since I've been here but I'll certainly be back regularly now. We visited with three primary school aged children who loved doing the family trails. There's so much to see and do, I really wish that more people knew about this place because it's fantastic.

Ashamed to say that despite living no more than 6 miles away from here for 44 years, I didn't realise that this hidden gem existed until recently. Fascinating place which is free to visit - great decoding quiz and other child friendly activities to do. Took about 90 minutes to get round. The staff were very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly.... More
