I took my daughter here because she is obsessed with history and she loved it. It has nice rooms but not a lot of things for children to do. I can't remember seeing a lift and if they haven't its a lot of stairs if you have a pram. The shop is reasonably priced but don't sell loads

Built around the 14th century when the area of Bolling was all park land and not the slightly run down area it is now, although there are still some Victorian Villas on the approach road; this stunning old house has a special place in Bradford's history. Used as a Royalist base during the second siege of Bradford in 1643 it... More

Lovely old house, dates from the 14th Century, it is well preserved. A lovely place to look around, there is the obligatory ghost, the White Lady .

I actually went there for a paranormal investigation but the place is great set in Bradford. The property is furnished out and a lot of history scattered about. Well worth a visit whatever you are there for

Having lived in and around Bradford since 1972 finally went to Bolling Hall. Unprepossessing surroundings, especially with semi-derelict Flockton House adjoining it. Gardens/grounds need some TLC but could Lottery Funding help as with Cartwright Hall and Cliffe Castle? Friendly staff and warm feel (literally as well) when you go in. Not an enormous pile but that makes it more accessible.... More

OK, as it goes. The local authority-owned house is a bit of a mish-mash, inside and out. The most interesting rooms (excepting the bedroom with the alleged ghost) are on the ground floor. Stained glass heraldry in the housebody window is lovely, and the back 'cold' kitchen most atmospheric. Be improved no end if the garden was returned to its... More

We have visited Bolling Hall hundreds of times over the last 30 odd years. I went as a child and our 11 year old still finds it fascinating after many visits. Bolling hall gives a great insight into life during the civil war in Bradford. Bolling hall boasts its own ghost and has even been featured on most haunted (... More

Came as a parent helper on a school trip from Harrogate last week and have to say it was excellent. Jane (aka "Mistress Joan") really brought it to life for the kids - with a combination of story telling and acting by both her and the kids. Loved the use of different rooms within the story. Jane really put her... More

For history buffs, this is a must visit. The hall has been wonderfully preserved, both inside and out. I loved it.
