As someone else has already mentioned whilst the old wool exchange building is beautiful it is really now just home to Waterstones and a few other places.

Beautiful building, but it's only a Waterstones with a Starbucks upstairs and a few shops dotted outside. If you like Victorian Gothic architecture, you'll like it but I couldn't say it is worth travelling a huge distance to see. The shops aren't impressive and I would never go in the Exchange pub.

The actual "wool exchange" (which is a listed building) disappeared in the 60s, although the building is still there, and what a lovely building it was, and still is.
