The village shows the vision of Sir. Titus Salt in the 19th century about how to improve the terrible conditons that workers lived in. It is so complete & unspoilt you could imagine being there in Victrian times. Well wortha visit more

You can't help but get a sense of history wandering around this beautiful mill ... from the worn flagstones to the carefully preserved hoppers. While I'm not a fan of the David Hockney gallery, the rest of the mill has some fascinating shops and the fish restaurant on the top floor is excellent. more
