In such a secular age it was great to sense a real buzz about the town regarding the flower festival. The cathedral is an amazing building which dominates the skyline and very beautifully decorated with flowers for Corpus Christi. Lovely tea & cakes in the swish hall nearby.

The walk up the hill to the cathedral was well worth it - this delightful village is so pretty and picturesque and at every turn is a photo opportunity.... More

It may be that I just enjoy this kind of constuction. I am agnostic so it is not for the religous factor I visit, it is the superb construction of these building I enjoy, Arundel's cathedral next to the castle, high up too, makes a magnificent sight as you drive into Arundel.

Beautiful building inside and out perched at the top of the old town. Amazing west-facing rose window sets off the ornate 1850s organ which was restored to the tune of £250,000 and looks magnificent. We were lucky enough to visit when the church choir were rehearsing, which only added to the atmosphere. Well worth a visit to enjoy a remarkable... More

Well worth a visit irregardless of your particular religious denomination. Arundel Cathedral is Roman Catholic designed by Joseph Hanson in the Gothic Revival Style erected between 1868 and 1873 originally built as a parish church. In 1965 the building was recognised as a cathedral and became the seat of the Bishop of Arundel and Brighton. There is a serene calmness... More
