Flight Simulators Midlands are delighted to offer you a thrilling experience on board a real B737-800 motion simulator or a Boeing 747-400 Jumbo Jet simulator with simulated motion or an Airbus A320 real aircraft, converted into a simulator. All are fitted with the latest Glass Cockpit Instrumentation (PFD/ND or EFIS)and the latest graphics available. Fly the mountains around Salzburg or the waterways of Hong Kong. These simulators have trained thousands of professional pilots over the years. (They are not replica simulators like many on offer). Now it's your turn to sit where they did and learn the tricks of the trade. We highly recommend a full hours flight time to get the best from your visit. Welcome on board. Captain Chris Rigby (Chief Pilot FSM)

Had a brilliant first time flight on the 747-400 with Chris today, considering there is no motion on this simulator, the graphics tell your head otherwise. I've had a flight sim program on the home pc sometime ago and you do convince yourself you can take off and land an aircraft, although I didn't crash and landed at Innsbruck and... More

Absolutely brilliant! The session started with a 30 minute PowerPoint slide show outlining the principles of flight and the basic aircraft controls and instrumentation. The slide show ended with a short video of aircraft landing at the, now closed, Hong Kong Kai Tak airport. I was then introduced to my instructor, Chris, for the flight simulator session. Chris immediately made... More

Thanks Keith. I don't get to fly as much I used to but it's always nice to work with someone who has an interest. Do come and try one of the other simulators. We can always up the ante and do a flight from Birmingham to Heathrow in fog!! CATIII approaches are always interesting. - Captain Chris Rigby More

“Flew” a Boeing 737 a few days ago into and out of Porto and Salzburg. I had a superb experience and I would heartily recommend it to everyone. Going on holiday soon to Porto so I will view the landing with extra interest The instructor was Dave and he did everything that I asked

I flew the 747 with Chris and a great experience and already booked the 737 motion simulator for a few weeks time I am interested in aviation and fly as a passenger usuaully at least twice a month so to take the controls in the simulator is fantastic. I have been on others and the graphics here are very realistic... More

Thanks Shaun. Glad you and David enjoyed the flight. Look forward to seeing you on the 737 when you come back. Drop me an email about the flying club and I'll put that in a file until we get a few more interested members to put on a technical course. See you in May. - Captain Chris Rigby More

I was given this Sim ride as a 50th birthday present. I had one hour in the 737 with motion and the time flew by! We took of from LOWS (Salzburg) flew over the Alps and landed. After that we chose Faro (LPFR) as we frequent that airport a lot in the real world as well as on my home-based... More

Thanks Graham. The 737 and A320 have collimated displays which as you say are super accurate although the view is a little restricted. If you want to experience a wrap around view of Hong Kong, then come and try the 747. Yes, do give me a call about a franchise. We have 2 current enquires and will be building real... More

Really enjoyed this experience, the briefing(737) gave you a good understanding of the aircraft and basic principles of flight. At my request Dave the instructor set up to fly out and back to our local airport(east midlands), Dave was excellent in his manner, knowledge and was clear when giving instructions. I will be booking another session and would recommend this... More

Hi Captain Rigby, I came to you today and took the 747 simulator and also booked for the one hour session in 'hot seat'. My instructor was Dave who was very easy to get on with and made the whole session a very rewarding and enjoyable experience. Yours Barry Ellis

I got a voucher for christmas to have a 1 hour flight in either a 737-800, an A320 or a 747. I decided to go with the 737. Not only because it is my favourite plane, but is also capable of motion flight. Because I already knew the basics of flying, Dave the instructor, programmed the simulator to fly from... More

Now future pilot. You will have to get saving for the course - or get dad to start saving. Unfortunately it costs in excess of £100k to get trained to professional level these days and there seems to be very few sponsors around. We will shortly be opening up our budding pilots club which will give you discounts off the... More

My son received a voucher for a Boeing Flight simulation for his birthday at Xmas 2013. We went to do it in February 2014 as this is half term and his birthday. He really enjoyed it and so when they told me that they were building an Airbus simulator that would have even better functionality I didn't hesitate to pay... More

Hello Sdebdd. Firstly I'm sorry to hear about the bereavement. Never a good time. When you book you are given the option of a cancellation waiver for just these unfortunate circumstances, which presumably you declined and in which case, normally you lose the booking. However as we had cancelled on you in the first place, I am more than happy... More
