A beautiful exterior and interior with stunning medieval paintings. Went on a Thursday when there was a gathering and singing which was really nice.It was a peaceful visit and made up for my disappointment with the New Cathedral next door.

There are free information leaflets which point out the main items of interest and friendly, knowledgeable people were on hand to answer questions. I was... More

The oldest part of the church was built in 13th century, but a church stood there already in 1100 and was destroyed by a fire in 1257. There is an interesting painting of the last judgement above the archway and near to the entrance a nice font for baptism of the 15th century.

We really enjoyed our visit, the building was warm and welcoming, two ladies 'on duty' smiling and happy to answer questions. A beautiful church that originally was constructed /consecrated in 1043 - with a link to Lady Godiva. Lots of history - enjoyed our visit

An amazing church with a warm welcome and the finest medieval wall painting in the country. Ask for it to be lit.

The first known reference of the church is from 1100 . The church Hosts the medieval painting of the Last Judgement and it is associated with the history of Earl Leofric and his wife Lady Godiva.. The entrance is free of Charge.
