We went to Coombe Abbey to a wedding reception. The event itself was entertaining and the actors were quite good, though it took place in a building a couple of minutes walk from the main reception so I was pleased nearly everyone was in fancy dress. The food was average- soup to start which was luke warm followed by a... More

Good walks..as short or as long as you fancy. Play areas for children. Wildlife. Good for a quick outing or a day out. All this for a fair priced car park charge. Wish they had a better café.

We visit quite often for walking and bird watching. It is possible to extend walks out of the park and make them a really good distance. Lots of water birds for the kids to feed and also a playground. The heronry and the hide are both good.

We love coombe abbey and it's grounds. There's fields to fly our kite, a lake to walk around and feed the birds, lovely interesting woodland walks and a beautiful historic house and gardens to visit. All topped off with a great visitors centre with cafe.

Be it a stroll looking at flora & fauna e.g the wild flower meadow, or a serious birding visit using the hides, many options; then off to the playgrounds, have a barbecue, visit the centre to the shops, café, paint some ceramics, interactive room, then down to the lake with some bird food.

Coombe Country Park is a great place for gentle, peaceful walks with lots of space to be by yourself. There's also loads of areas for children to run and play. There are picnic tables around the park & also space to have bbqs. There are (if you're quite) plenty of wildlife to see & photograph. The only cost is parking,... More

Very elegenat and well mantained grounds with a nice cafe , only dislike was that the cafe was a little hard to locate if you had not been there before as were the toilets.

when I was young, my parents took us to Coombe Abbey on summer Sunday afternoons, I have soo many happy memories of times spent there. I'm happy to say, now I have a child of my own, he also loves Coombe Abbey! He spends hours there, most weeks.Playing in the playground, running and playing hide and seek in the woods,... More

Good park with well marked walks using graded tracks. 2 miler is ideal for dog walking when other places are too wet and boggy. Parking is expensive unless you are spending a full day there but you seem to be able to get away with it if you're there and gone by 9.30! Don't quote me on that . .... More

Me and my partner stayed at the hotel on Friday for our anniversary treat, we are very local and have visited Coombe regularly, however have never stayed at the hotel so we expected a great experience. Overall, the room and the aesthetics of the hotel were beautiful and interesting and the staff were friendly, however, I found the service delivered... More
