Fabulous restaurant and amazing medieval hotel (building original, with some rework done using items reclaimed from old churches). The grounds have woods, a river, park land, a boating area, a children's play area, a visitors centre with shop, restaurant, bug room for small children, a hide for bird watching, and an ice cream van on warm or summer days.

I've lived in the area for many years and visited Coombe Abbey for the first time in a couple of years today. The park used to be stunning, well taken care of and beautiful to walk around. It sadly looks very neglected now, with stagnant water, overgrown plants and crumbling walls which show little sign of being repaired - they... More

A great place to take a picnic and go exploring. Organised events on during school holiday periods. Nothing to dislike.

Acres of lovely walks and picnic spots, excellent for cycling and a good playground for children.the Abbey itself is fabulous, an overnight stay in one of the opulent rooms is luxury.

Take a romantic walk in the extensive grounds or wear out the kids and the dog. Take the children into the visitors centre or enjoy a break in the cafe. A great day out

Plenty of pathways, woodland and gardens to wander around. The Abbey itself is now a hotel so out of bounds to non residents, but at about £4 for a days parking the beautiful landscape is well worth a visit. There's a small cafe and a few craft and gift shops along with some great picnic areas to enjoy. Good value... More

Have been to Coombe abbay several times over the years, I spent my honey moon here also. Beautiful hotel, stunning land. A place where all the family can come and enjoy with a park for the children and a lake to feed the ducks. Plus lots of walks around the woods, my 2 children loved every minute, was a big... More

I really can't see why anybody comes here. Ridiculously high parking charges in the pay and display car park and then you find out that there is nothing here. All there is to do is walk around. The Abbey is now a hotel. The Capability Brown designed landscaping is neglected and tired.
