A bit of a disappointment, nothing to tell the story of Godiva, and you can't take a decent photograph because of the people sitting around the base. give it a miss and tour the other better attractions.

I love the story of Lady Godiva, therefore I was enthused to visit the city that birthed it. But I was sadly disappointed when all I found was a statue in the square to commemorate her. My disappointment came when I saw there is no explanation as to why this a naked lady was riding a horse through town. I... More

I think if you like to take the typical tourist photo, you should go, but don't make a point of it. There are so many other great things to do in Coventry...

Impressive statue in the city, reminding us of one of the things Coventry is known for. We came across it whilst shopping, it's in the centre of the town.

An excellent statue in the middle of town. Not many people from outside of town know that the legend of Lady Godiva is linked to our great city and so it is great that such a nice statue is here to commemorate her. It is always kept in excellent condition.

As well as the lovely bronze in the town square, we saw various paintings in the Herbert museum , and statues. She has a connection to our local church at |Stow, so good to see her, andf to learn about the real lady Godiva

Statue of Lady Godiva in open shopping precinct which is for pedestrian so no cars to stop you looking around. Would have like more of the history in statue area.

If you are in Coventry or going to visit coventry, this should be the first place in your list, because this is what coventry is all about. This statue defines the history of coventry which is very interesting.

An iconic woman in the middle of the town....it is not much to say indeed. If you don`t know who she is you will need your phone handy to do some searches.
