I love being able to settle down on a sofa with waitress service and nibble on tasty nibbles and drink delicious cocktails. They have some great special screenings sometimes with themed food and drinks or snacks. Ages ago I lost a treasured earring here and not only did they find it but they went looking for it after I rang... More

Wonderful old fashioned cinema. Selection of comfortable seating, including sofas. Food and drink available. Toilets could do with refurbishment and the ladies toilets are very small. Real treat right in the heart of Birmingham near New Street Station. Great selection of films - well worth a visit.

The Electric Cinema is the oldest working cinema in the country, you don't need me to tell you that, but what you don't tend to see is that this is also one of the finest and most seclusive Cinemas in the country making it the top of the list for any romantic evening (even if you do end up seeing... It's a lovely place and we're so lucky to have one of the oldest cinemas still working and showing films that we should all support it and go! This place is great as it shows contemporary films as well as a selection of foreign films or old films. It also has a monthly Film Food Club and if you subscribe... More

The staff are very friendly and there is a decent choice of drinks available. It's quite a pricey cinema, especially if you get a sofa seat but it's very relaxed and comfortable inside. Incase anyone's wondering, the front row seating is well worth it and it's not too close to the screen. Very comfy seats with a foot rest.

We've enjoyed several visits to the Electric Cinema now, each time booking a sofa and enjoying a bottle of Pinot while watching a film.... It really is a great way to spend a lazy saturday afternoon. The staff are very friendly, the sofa's very comfortable and the place is just the right size to be warm and cozy - there... More

This was my second visit to the Electric cinema. I visited with my husband who had not been before and we booked a sofa before hand. It was great because you can order snacks to your seat and they bring them to you during the film. Last we visited the new cinema in the mail box but I think the... More

Love this place so much I'm not even going to go into details. Atmosphere is great, seats perfect, bar is nice touch and when I get a raise maybe i'll be able... More
