So today a 'normal cinema chain' will cost £8, we paid £10 to watch a film on comfortable sofas with footstools, great service and a lovely atmosphere. No contest really. Was quite a novelty and definitely worth trying once.. However now I've been I'll definitely be returning!

A visit to Electric Cinema isn't just a movie program, is a travel in time. This is the oldest working cinema in the United Kingdon, screeing movies since 1909, and that's what makes the experience so enjoyable. Expect confortable red sofas, carpets, a lot of art dèco and people drinking champagne while watching the screen. The cinema has two rooms,... More

My second trip to the Electric Cinema was even better than the first, managing to secure Valentino the leather sofa for three people. The film is almost a secondary event at this magic place, the young staff are so friendly and good humored, the cinema itself is fascinating. Being able to order a glass of wine by text from your... Lovely atmosphere. Worth a visit and not too pricey. Good to support local small cinema and the cocktails are lovely. Nice to have a bar and an intimate setting. Make sure you get there early to get your seats though!

I went to watch 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' here as I thought the motion picture and it's main colouring being red would suit the red sofas that they had, haha, it was very comfortable. The cinema was quite a different experience, a little bit more expensive than the usual odeon prices, but this cinema offers cute (but more pricey) snacks... More

Its like having home comforts! Will definably be coming back again more... More

I've been here twice now, and it's never disappointed. They have a habit of showing decent films that your local fifteen screen multiplex doesn't even consider, and it's like stepping back in time - luxurious surroundings and friendly staff - and it's still somewhat of a novelty to be able to sit drinking a bottle of wine whilst sitting on... They sure don't make em like this anymore! A wonderful place, the first time I've had a 'luxury' cinema outing, leather seats in the back with beer service, like watching a flick down the pub! I had a great time, service was good, cinema quality is good, place cosy and has a tailor made for you feel to it. See... More
