Visited here many times and I just loveable it, nostalgic atmosphere. I love the bar and although I be never had any cocktails they sound amazing! Tea and coffee drunk a plenty ... China cups too ! A must for the cinema fan .. Not an large chain piece if plastic in sight!

This little privately owned cinema is a real jewel. It's very comfortable, clean and a nice size for films that require a more intimate venue. The staff are all great and have a real good sense of humour. Excellent customer service too. This place deserves the support of everyone.

We love going to the Electric Cinema, it takes you back in time, and I love the cute old fashioned ticket stubs. The cinema has been in Birmingham for many many years, so it feels like you're stepping into a little bit of history. The screens are quite small, so I wouldn't choose to watch a huge blockbuster here, but... More

Went to see a showing of curious incident of the dog in the night, and love this little place. Try and reserve a sofa at the back of the cinema, you can text the 'bar' with yur food order of drinks and snacks and they are delivered whilst you are watching the film, allowing you to settle up at the... This is a great little cinema. It's like going back in time to when i visited the cinema as a child, but with a modern twist. The cinema is a lot smaller then modern day cinemas, but you get a more intimate experience and and still get modern day digital technology. I love how they still use the old dean... More

I love this place, visited many times during university... Charming old style cinema yet still has good quality projection and sound. A great way to spend an evening or rainy afternoon and ticket prices are often better value than the big multi screens.

The one cinema in Birmingham that shows decent films, and although it doesn't offer the kind of comfort (unless you pay extra for a sofa) or large screen you get in a multiplex, the old-school atmosphere is priceless. We'd all be the poorer if it weren't there!

Comfy sofas, food and drink ordered by text and delivered to our seat and watching a movie in the UK's oldest working cinema made for a memorable date night. Ideal for couples, friends or alone. It's a little pricy to sit in a sofa but well worth it for a trip to the cinema with a difference. Can't wait to... More

My boyfriend and I chose to watch a film here over a modern cinema and thoroughly enjoyed it! It is quaint and we had the joys on sitting on a sofa and texting for for and drinks to be brought to us during the film. Don't expect modern, flashy screens and you will enjoy this alternative to what can be... More
