Wonderful old cinema with special sofas at the back where you can order food and drinks (cocktails!) at any point through the film and a waitress brings it to you. Most comfortable cinema I've ever visited (only sat on the sofa) and not that much more expensive than the regular cinemas. Definitely worth it. More

So refreshing to watch a film here. Texting our drinks order worked perfectly, and we enjoyed the experience. The sofas look inviting, but we actually found that ours was not ideal for those of us who have dodgy backs: it was too low and soft. We shall choose the individual seats next time, but this will be no hardship, especially... More

Would recommend anyone to go! You could text your beverage order and have it bought to your seat! More

Great independent cinema showing broad spectrum of high quality movies from blockbusters to art house - you must try the cult film Friday. Go for an indulgent sofa to get drinks brought to you during the film. Best place in Brum to catch a film. More

I am seriously film crazy and I do like the good things in life. My friend told me about this place and on a recent trip to Birmingham she took me here and we watched the descendants. This was just a perfect night. The cinema is sublime, very French, unique. We booked the sofas to watch the movie and ordered... More

Good films, good atmosphere, good service and no one kicking the back of your seat! Plus - No popcorn; G & T in a real glass; or a mug of tea and and a slice of cake. Great atmosphere. Makes going to the cinema a real joy. More

This is an awesome place to visit. The feel of the building is wonderful as you arrive in the carefully preserved art deco lobby and equally lush as you cosy down on one of the sofas to watch your film. And then to top it off you send a text and drinks and nibbles magically appear! OK so you have... More

Fantastic independent cinema with a great little bar and friendly staff. Proper old school seats and lovely art deco interior. Quite hard to find if you don't know the area (next door to some 'adult' shops), but just minutes from New St station. A must for all indie film fans. More

My daughter and I were in Birmingham for a girls’ shopping trip and thought that going to the oldest working cinema in the UK would be a bit of a relaxing evening after two hard days melting credit cards. I had booked a sofa and therefore we should have been able to text our drinks and snacks orders. However we... More
