This is a very popular place where locals hang out. Near to the hustle and bustle of the A38, but a lovely link between the city centre and Centenary Square

was walking from one business meeting to another and had opportunity to walk through Birmingham city centre. Thoughts that the place was looking a lot cleaner and in particular Chamberlain Square was really smart. I am sure that visitors to the city will have become increasingly impressed with what the city has been doing - well done, good for business,... More

Museum, Town Hall and prone statue on the steps are all first class to see. However, the unappealling backdrop of Centrlal library and shopping area bring this down and the fountain looks a bit unloved.

Chamberlain Suare and the fountain was dedicated to Chamberlain, who was an Alderman of Birmigham. It is smallish and has the Town Hall, Central Library and the Council House surrounding it.

Apart from the off BCC activity, there is nothing here at all. The fountain is filthy. If you are a tourist, don't bother with this 'attraction'
