This was our first visit to these gardens,as they are fairly close to where we live. The car parking is a hit and miss affair, just a piece of level rough soil based surface. No disabled area marked off close to the entrance. Initial thoughts on entering the gardens were, the place needs a shedload of money thrown at it, I know... More

Had a guided tour through these gardens. Our guide Marian was very knowledgable and enthusiastic. She was also very considerate as our group was quite elderly and it was very hot she made sure that we had some shade and a seat whenever we stopped for her commentary. After the tour we retired to the tea shop for a very... More

A group of us had a guided tour of the garden after a meal at the hotel restaurant. The walled gardens were lovely; a huge amount of hard work has been done in many areas of the gardens, and it is obviously a long-term on-going project. One doesn't like to speak ill of volunteers but our guide really was not... More

We wanted a day out close to our home in Wolverhampton. A visit to a garden didn't seem the best idea on a grey, showery day but this place is wonderful. It's amazing what volunteers have achieved in 30 years converting a wild overgrown area back to the walled garden it had been. It has a great variety of plants... More

A fascinating place to visit Very well maintained by volunteers who are only too happy to share their knowledge of the gardens and plants. We visited on a day they are usually closed but they were quite happy to let us wander around the gardens and enjoy them

When I read the secret garden I thought walled gardens didn't exist anymore. Thank goodness some of them were preserved! Castle Bromwich Hall gardens are a lovely get away just off Junction 6 on the M6 (Yes the infamous Spaghetti Junction) This lovely English Baroque Garden opened to show of their snow drops and Hellbores which both looked lovely. Can't... More

Castle Brumwich Hall gardens has long been a family favorite. This remarkable gardens with its coffee shop is run almost entirely by volunteers who want this histoic jewel to be kept alive. Various times of year bring an array of seasonal flowers, with our most recent visit being on their Autumn Apple Day festival. Check their web site for other... More
