The staff are clearly very enthusiastic and helpful and the variety of interesting animals all appear happy in their environment. The parking is excellent then I thought the the entrance was great, an Edwardian Museum style. Providing the weather is at least dry I would recommend a visit for a fun and enjoyable half day with a snack in the... more

Wasn't sure what to expect with mild preconceptions of perhaps a slightly run-down and cramped inner city zoo - I'm so glad to find those notions entirely unfounded! Car parking facility large for an attraction so close to the city centre with a functional entry building plus very pleasantly surprised at the exceptionally reasonable £3 adult entry fee. The Birmingham Nature Centre was wonderful. It is very cheap to get in about three quid adults and free for children which is great value. There is a reptile house an aquarium and an excellent rodent house home to lots of mice and gerbils. There is a smll farm area with sheep goats and wallabies in good paddocks and Lilliput... more

The Nature Centre is a great place for any animal lovers to visit - while a lot of the visitors were children in school groups or with families, there was a significant number of teens and adults there also who seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as the young 'uns.
