Lovely place and saw some amazing creatures, and there is a rock pool where you can stroke star fish etc. However ensure you buy tickets online, they are very expensive on the door, and despite booking online and paying £33 for two people we still felt it was not worth the entrance fee. The gift shop is also very expensive,... More

My son (two and a half) and I were really excited for our trip to sea life, we have been to the Hunstanton one a couple of times (pre renovation) so expected big things from the Birmingham centre and although we enjoyed our trip we were left slightly disappointed. I booked online with a half price voucher and got there... More

Reason for one star: Disappointing for adults and - while fun for children - it has a low education value (sells "power stones",says octopus is as intelligent as a dog with no explanation given as to why). Fake plants mostly. Even fake corals (unforgivable). Cramped exhibits which are sad really for anybody with a bit of knowledge of animals. Lots... More

Lovely trip. Wonderful informative place. Well layer out. Loads to see. Very tranquil and full of character. BUT they crammed in far too many people. I'm disabled in a scooter and spent the entire visit trying and failing to move. Very rude people bashing into my scooter and looking daggers at me !!!! the place may be layed out for... More

Just got home having literally having to cut my arm and leg off (despite a voucher from Kellogg's) to get in with my wife and 3 year old. Upon arrival we were immediately ushered into the first of many bottlenecks with pushchairs/buggies. We then found that some of the interactive stamp machines were 'out of order' and made our way... We really enjoyed our day - watching the penguins waddle on the shore and then going down a level and watching them dive towards you was a highlight. We also loved seeing the turtles, especially the snake neck turtle as we'd never seen those before. It was quite busy as it was a rainy day in the school holidays but... More

Visited on a Saturday and had a good time despite it being very busy! Didn't go in the theatre as we didn't realise what people were queuing for - that was the only negative. Would recommend you pre-book online as you cut the queue and get cheaper tickets.

Dear Laura S, Thanks for visiting us from Manchester! Have you visited our friends in the Trafford Centre? We appreciate the review and glad you had an overall good time with us. Unfortunate about the 4D cinema but we have taken the comments aboard and see what we can do to ease congestion in that area. We hope to have... More

Dear Mark G, Thanks for visiting and reviewing us! Sounds like you visited in the school holidays - unfortunately this isn't ideal if you want a truly relaxed atmosphere. This was such a fun way to spend the afternoon! I had never been in an underwater tunnel before, and the immersion factor was amazing. I also enjoyed looking down at the open ponds in the main hall.
