We bought our tickets on-line to save some money and arrived at Sea Life, Birmingham having parked easily nearby. The building didn't look very big from the outside but it was like a Tardis. The path winded round with many interesting creatures in very pleasant enclosures/aquariums. The penguins were worth going to see alone! I loved the tropical surroundings in... More

We used a 2 for 1 voucher, which dulled the pain of how little you get for the money, however that being said, the children enjoyed what they did see. The Santa was terrible though. There were no times communicated for when he went to lunch so we could plan around it. After waiting for 45 minutes, he eventually emerged... More

The penguins were the main reason we went. They are adorable. The rest of the centre is good too. We enjoyed the 4d cinema. We are glad we had 2 for 1 vouchers otherwise it would have been expensive. However the fact that the entrance fee covered you all day was great.

Good value for money. Visited for my boyfriends Birthday. Group of 4 adults, we loved it. Got some great photographs to remember the day!

Great for children but wow is the place overpriced even when using the buy one get one free voucher, only for children in my opinion, adults will be bored and you"re done in 30 minutes.

Four of us visited on Saturday & had a great time, there's so much to see & do & you can actually interact with some of the starfish & crabs. The staff were very helpful, knowledgable & friendly & the show stoppers where the sea turtle & 360 tank. There are things to keep all ages entertained & I would... More

While there are some lovely sights in here, and keeping these kind of sea creatures this far inland can't be cheap, it does feel like the entry price is way above what it should be. I have been twice now, and both times I took a very slow amble round. I really tried to take my time, to see how... More

I think this aquarium has a good layout with lots of variety and information (albeit mostly aimed at children). It is quite expensive and unfortunately the website caused a lot of problems preventing us from booking tickets at a discounted rate. We did manage to find a voucher elsewhere and I recommend that before going as full price will be... More

It is always good to visit here, however can't help but feel sorry for the penguins in their small habitat. Also, the showing of the '3D' penguins was really disappointing, no 3D effects at all, and is also just clips from the film, very poor. To be honest, showing its age now, needs something to freshen it up.
