Very well equipped theatre, obviously has had good investment - we enjoyed the show, a little slow in the first half but really enjoyed the rest. The bar could do with more staff in the interval but otherwise we enjoyed the show.

What a fantastic theatre! With the ultra modern feel as you walk along Hurst street you could be forgiven for thinking that the Hippodrome was only a couple of years old. Even as you step inside, the modern simplistic decor leaves you wondering what to expect from this 100+ year old theatre. But as so as you walk though the... More

Went to see Evita and had a lovely night. The theatre is what it is. Seats were fine, drinks were a bit expensive, but it was a good show and a great night out.

Evita was a performance well worth going to see. Had me hooked after the first 10mins Marti Pellow as usual was oustanding and Magdalena Alberto was superb Very powerful show throughout. Was a little concerned that there wasnt an usher to show you to your seats and check your tickets !!! But the evening was superb talent throughout. However that... More

Came here to see Evita, the theatre was beautiful and the staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The show itself was very good, I agree to a point re the comments about Marti Pellow, however the rest of the cast were great and the orchestra were fantastic! The bar service was very efficient and well organised. I sat in the... More

As soon as the curtain went up and I heard Marti Pellow's voice struggling to sing the opening number of Evita, my heart sank. It was as if he was singing from inside a deep sea diving helmet. There was no range to his voice and he almost coughed out each word in a flat render that ruined a role... More

Went to see Sister Act with my aunt who has sight problems, and found they had a special tour to feel the costumes for her, and special equipment for while the show was on. Wheelchair access was excellent, as you'd expect from a newly renovated building.

The Birmingham Hippodrome has been around forever but before the make-over it was showing its years. Since the "new" Hippodrome has been in place it is now large, comfortable & a pleasure to go to. The amenities are all disable friendly with large lifts to all floors making movement much easier than previously. The bars are a good example of... More

Since the refurbishment which took place a couple of years ago, the Hippodrome has improved immensely.
