This theatre has been part of my life since a young child. Over the years it has been refurbished to a very high standard which is reflected in the shows that are staged. My children have also grown up with this theatre and love to visit even though they are grown and live away. Wonderful memories! Highly recommended.

Have been to a few shows here and love the layout of the theatre. Very modern and lots of space in lobby/bar areas during intervals. Only ever sat in circle near back but views still good. Only drawback is sound system isn't always great and can be difficult to hear at the back. Pretty important for seeing a show! However... More

Visited as a member of staff on a school trip recently - the staff were all great and the performance was fab. The theatre is very clean and offers a good choice of food and drink for those who want it!

We went to see 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time', a quite exceptional, outstanding piece of theatre. I wondered how anyone could contrive a play from the book, but, having seen it, can understand why it has picked up so many awards. The acting was top class, but the set, at first looking stark and bare, was... More

If this play comes to your town, definitely, definitely make sure you can get a ticket. I read the book and was very dubious they were going to be able to transfer this to the Stage successfully. How wrong I was. Excellent can't recommend it enough.

I went there this Thursday the 18th June 2015 with a friend to see the The Birmingham Ballet Company. Before the performance started we had dinner in a fantastic restaurant and the food and service was excellent. The overall experience was fantastic from start to finish, well done Hippodrome, I shall be back, despite the travelling distance as I live... More
