This is a little hidden gem. Great exhibitions and knowledgeable staff to help although there are written detailed guides for each exhibition. The cafe is a real find, good selection of sandwiches and jacket potatoes, with fillings in individual pots. Good selection of cakes and biscuits too. Toilet are very superior and clean. Walk through the grounds if the weather... More

We had a great value deal for this attraction as we found a voucher offering 2-1 but be aware that the place shuts in mid December. The grounds are lovely & there are great walks around the lake. We didn't bother to pay extra for the exhibitions but the picture gallery was included in the ticket price. I'm not a... More

We travelled for over three hours to see an exhibition here (over-priced and cheeky since many of the exhibits are held at CV), and we were starving. We ate at the restaurant - I chose butternut squash stuffed with cous cous and red peppers. It came as two wedges of grilled squash, a mound of COLD cous cous on the... More

I’m sorry to read that you were disappointed with our current exhibition on British Folk Art. This extensive exhibition has brought together 180 artworks from across the UK, only 15 of these are from our own permanent collection. These works were chosen for their quality and significance as examples of Folk Art and we are proud to see them displayed... More

My first visit and I only live 20 minutes away by car. I wish I hadn't left it so long. Excellent day out, thoroughly enjoyed the art display. Had a meal afterwards, which was first class. Highly recommend it.

My family met for an occasion recently here and it was a delightful day out. The grounds and scenery are amazing We had dinner in the restaurant and there was an adequate selection to chose from. I will definitely come here again.

This is such a brilliant, easy place to come even with very small children. Current British Folk Art exhibition is wittily as well as thoughtfully displayed and our toddler enjoyed it almost as much as we did. Staff are unfailingly helpful and friendly in the galleries, and restaurant, parkland, well-equipped playroom and playground offer welcome changes of scenery. Good clean... More

I decided to join today as an annual member because it was really great value, £12 for the year rather than £8 per visit. The kids play area was great with balance beams, climbing frames, zip wire and swings. It even had hidden houses made of branches. We had a lovely lunch in the restaurant. The facilities were lovely and... More

My friend and I visited here on our way to Stratford 3 weeks ago. The house is spacious and the exhibits very easy to see, no large crowds to hamper your enjoyment. Peace is everywhere, the gardens are fantastic and when we were there there was an exhibition of Rodin and Henry Moore sculptures in the grounds. An added bonus... More

It`s been great to watch the renaissance of Compton Verney over the last 20 years, from virtual write-off wreck to today`s thriving centre. I love the combination of the Baroque architecture of the Georgian mansion with the ultra- cool glass and steel of the new extension, it`s really inspiring. The collections are eclectic in the best sense ie there`s something... More
