On the left hand bank of the River Avon, this walk gives great views of Holy Trinity, and the of the RSC theatre, but without the crowds. A gentle walk starting with ice cream stand and band stands, progressing past useful seating and sports fields, and on the locks. Nice to be in the countryside after the noise and busy... More

A lovely relaxing walk - some unexpected sights which will be missed if not tried - a definite must.

The Avon is a lovely river and runs its course through the centre of Stratford, it make for a pleasant walk on a sunny day and you can take in the wildlife - people having picnics and the boats going up and down the river. A lovely place and a lovely walk

The footpath along the River Avon is very well kept, easy going and tranquil passing a popular passenger ferry which was tempting but the walk was a welcome contrast to a two show theatre day. The path looks like it is well miaintained beyond Stratford though I turned and walked back to take in the Church with Shakespeare's grave. It... More

After our 1:45 mins coach journey it was lovely to have a leisurely walk along the river, crossed over the bridge and walked back into Stratford, saw lots of swans and a very large Herron. Most enjoyable and a very easy walk, quite flat with only the steps to / from bridge to negotiate, took about an hour at a... More

Took a stroll out of Stratford, picking up the river Avon trail, later joining the Greenway out to Milcote. Stopped there for a cup of tea at the Railway carriage cafe. Nice walk out on the south bank of the river, soon drifting inland a little. The trail rejoins the river, but we picked up the traffic free Greenway. Came... More

A good stretch for the legs, but not for those who have mobility issues. There are steps and gates to negotiate and parts of the terrain are rough walking. For parts of the walk the river is masked by trees and bushes and there is a farm field to traverse. Nevertheless, enjoyed the walk and the getaway from the crowds.

Great walk through parkland, farmland and along river banks. On some stretches look out for irresponsible cyclists You can easily make the walks longer or shorter
