A different view of Stratford

This is a lovely walk to do. You can go however far (or short) you like and it's nice to get out of the bustle of Stratford.

We did this trail on a Sunday afternoon and it was very pleasant. You soon got away from the crowds and into some very pleasant countryside. The rout is reasonably well marked and relatively flat apart from one section. It is definitely worth a go, especially if you want a bit of peace and quiet.

This was a lovely walk that I will come back to. We did not get to finish but on this bright day the yellow flowers in the fields nearby, the red tulips, the green fields made the whole walk like walking in paradise.

We popped into the local tourist information shop and asked for a leaflet or brochure containing a local walk and was presented with this. It made for a well spent and interesting couple of hours. We had been to Stratford before and seen most of the other places of interest so this proved to be a marvellous surprise. Most of... More

This is such a special walk. We took our dog Harvey. The sun was shining and we enjoyed all the sights and scenery. The river was calm and it was so so peaceful. Really a lovely walk for everyone. A must do.

We only did part of the walk as we'd already toured the city and several of Shakespeare's family homes and were running out of energy. It's lovely though and we plan to go back later this year and enjoy the entire walk and take in the two buildings we missed! I was surprised that another Trip Advisor found Stratford tacky... More

We did this circular walk/trail on our 2nd day and it was lovely as it was sunny so lots of people were out by the river walking their dogs and having picnics. You can also catch a boat cruise from by the river which is worth doing. It is £6.00 per person for 45 minutes and is an audio tour... More

A very scenic and peaceful walk, especially in February, as there was barely anyone else there. Lots of birds around, and the area is clean and well-maintained.

Maybe we were lucky but there was hardly any other walkers and only a few bikes. We walked from the bridge along the recreation side of the river down to the footbridge. Over the bridge we walked to the racetrack along a well maintained path, noting the loan railway carriage housing a cafe (closed). We saw a warn out sign... More

We followed the River walk quite early in the morning, which was nice as no one was really about and sat for quite sometime next to the HolyTrinity church (a lovely spot - looking over at the recreation ground). Despite following the historic walk, personally I think the river and the canal basin are the loveliest part of the town... More
