This trail is perfect. Completely flat and very safe. We cycled 5 miles to The Masons Arms in Long Marston (see my review) and then 5 miles back. Return journey was much easier as we had fuel in our tummies!! Our 10 yr old coped brilliantly.

Good cycling track too through picture perfect countryside..a part of which runs alongside the racecourse, so you can get free view on race day, bring binoculars for close up of far side

Staff in the snack carriage brilliant. Ice creams, teas, coffees, cakes and the bacon cobs. The trail wasn't too busy and those using it were respectful to others. Well come back later in the year and bring or bikes.

I take my grandchildren cycling and this is an easy safe and attractive route. The railway carriages are conveniently located and provide well deserved refreshments. Downside is not much shelter if it rains.

I might have missed a few signs - I found this route difficult to find out of Stratford but then I was working without a detailed map. Once on it, it is a real delight. Straight, smooth, well-equipped with tea-shops and cycle repair facilities. There are only a couple of bugs - the insistence on kissing gates at every road... More

We use the Greenway regularly for cycling - it's a great amenity. Parking is currently free and should remain so!

Pleasant walk for many miles with parking in some locations and cafe/bike hire at the Stratford end. An easy way to get some fresh air with views over the racecourse from a big old metal bridge at the River Avon

Found this by accident on a recent visit to Stratford, on a lovely sunny Saturday morning. We discovered The Greenway, ,whilst strolling along the riverbank near the Holy Trinity church. There was a mix of joggers, walkers and cyclists on this former railway track, and is suitable for people of all ages. More suited to a slow leisurely bike ride... More

Went for family walk along greenway on Sunday 19th April. On passing the railway carriage cafe my wife and 4 year old son were hassled by a dog whose owner was incapable of calling it off. Had to shout at the dog to get it to go away. Oddly a woman came out of the cafe to ask what was... More

This former railway line offers a 5 mile flat and pleasant scenic track ideal for walkers and cyclists. You can begin at either end which has ample parking. Refreshments are available at a converted railway carriage. I've both walked and cycled along the track and think it's best in the summer. A bell on your bike is recommended.
